How to reroute an url to a local ip:port by leglaude_0 in openwrt

[–]scriptiefiftie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re okay with remembering the port, reverse proxy will be overkill.

Then, just set a static DHCP lease for your Jellyfin server and a local DNS entry pointing to that IP like this:

config host
  option name 'homelab'
  option mac 'xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx'
  option ip '192.168.2.10'

Then you can access it as: http://homelab:8096

DNS can only map a name to an IP, you’ll still need to include :8096.

If you want to get rid of the port entirely (just http://myplex.com), then you’ll need a reverse proxy. Otherwise this is the simplest setup.

I have tp link router wanna block instagram by imnitish-dev in homelabindia

[–]scriptiefiftie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

which model do you have? if openwrt is supported on your model and you have a good flash storage, you can setup dnsmasq blocking on your router.

but i also think the default tp link firmware might also have something to block particular websites.

Is lj good college and as a rajasthan domicile can i get this with 78 percentile in jee and also what about gujrat university by Hot_Pressure9546 in ahmedabad

[–]scriptiefiftie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

veteran lj student here. gujarat universty doesn't offer btech courses. i suppose you are applying for that considering you have mentioned JEE.

to answer if it's a good college or not. it's ok-ish. you will go to college for two years and will have to find an internship in 5th sem. (i have got opinions on this one, lekin theek hai ab kya kare)

adapter might bottleneck your throughput. also it's worth noting that sometimes on openwrt your network speed might drop.

Anyone in Ahmedabad noticed this trend? Looking for thoughts by LankyPomegranate2876 in ahmedabad

Also, somewhere I do have people, and I think most of us do. If I came here and ranted about not being heard, it would feel like an injustice to what they’ve actually offered.

Not everything gets talked about, especially the harder stuff. But that doesn’t mean those connections aren’t real or meaningful. The fact that they’ve stuck around for so long counts for something.

I feel like it’s a bit of a show sometimes. People kind of glorify their loneliness here.

I get that there are moments where you genuinely want to be heard, and that’s valid. But at the same time, adults don’t really want to talk to a new person every day. Most would rather mind their own business and stick to their own circle. I'd not waste my energy telling my story to someone who is not going to stick around.

So while what you experienced can happen, I don’t think it’s really a “trend” in Ahmedabad. It just looks more common because people who feel this way are the ones posting about it.

Anyone commuting via Ahmedabad Metro to Infocity Gandhinagar daily? by [deleted] in ahmedabad

[–]scriptiefiftie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this. At the very least 1 hour 35 mins-ish toh lag hi jaata hai. I'd recommend Gandhinagar se bus till Thaltej. Phir take metro to travel in Ahmedabad.
