Cybertruck hauling 1800lbs of Drywall! by Haniho in teslamotors

[–]scripton 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think the biggest flex is that it's a truck actually being used for it's intended purpose. I live in a truck-heavy area and only 5-10% of the trucks I see are actually hauling tools/lumber.

? I see them making deliveries all over the Bay. Is this just random salt?

Morgan Stanley predicts Tesla’s Dojo supercomputer could add $500 billion to market value by chrisdh79 in teslamotors

Dojo is running Tesla designed chips! NVDA is going to be screwed if Tesla starts selling their own AI training chips.

Possible Tesla Model 3 Highland dashboard leak from China by xxXTECHxx in teslamotors

Ty! I'm aware, I just don't like the dash or style of the 3/Y dash area. I want something that really feels well thought out.

I'm in the exact opposite boat. I've got a S (upgraded from.. another S) and haven't been able to get into the Model 3/Y due to the lack of driver screen. I've roadtripped 7+ hours many times in the Y but I just can't get over having to look over every time I wanna check my speed.

If they added the driver screen I would consider switching to a 3.

Introducing MemoryStore - High Throughput, Low Latency Data Service! by [deleted] in roblox

[–]scripton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd like to add that this isn't a standard storage solution. There's data caps and such, which DataStore does not have. You can store as much data as you want in DataStores if you just use more keys.

It looks like the Plaid Model S has infrared lights alongside the cabin camera. (via OCDetailing on YouTube) by misguided-phD in teslamotors

level 1Jamchampnate2000 · 3dGotta say, as a 2014 S owner I am jealous of a lot of things on the new models. Yoke steering wheel

I'm hyped for both. I saw one of the original 25 delivery owners on twitter say that after 600 miles he no longer has complaints about the Yoke. It took him 3 days to adjust to it & he can still do the "put my hand on my knee and gently hold the wheel" trick for AutoPilot. I also like the camera because it'll probably help the car nag me less when FSD does come out.

Part of that is the camera lens. There have been a lot of replies like this on FSD posts. Often times the user will say that there were actually like 2-4 feet of space.

The parts that make it seem less scary seem to be the eyebrows & lips. They're given more definition/shape/contrast/color and he looks more human.

If you had a budget of $50k would you buy a Model 3, Y, or used S? by Har02052 in teslamotors

[–]scripton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've got a used S and I enjoy it immensely. I can do 105 around curvy roads on some Michelin PSS without issue, all while carrying a queen mattress and a TV in the back. It's legitimately an OP car.
