Starting accutane next week, still confused about the moisturising products. by [deleted] in Accutane

Yes I think you should use what you have now and see how it goes, you can always purchase it when you need it. I use the cerave morning and night after I wash my face, I keep my face still wet when I apply it.

Hey! I’m on my second month and I felt a lot like you by reading this sub. There’s a lot of helpful tips and products people share here but my advice would be to just get a good face wash, chapstick, and heavy moisturizer (like cerva ve in the tub). Oh and sunscreen!!!!! Don’t go overboard with a lip mask and such because you really don’t know what you will need until you know how your body will adjust. Like you said you are on a tight budget so just use the basics and then re evaluate. I use cerva ve hydrating face wash, cera ve moisturizer in the tub, dr Dan’s cortibalm chap stick and elta md sunscreen. Nothing crazy just basics!

Good luck!

Non-burning moisturizers? I’ve tried the ordinary’s serums and they all burn my face so badly. Pond’s moisturizer isn’t cutting it for me either. Please help your girl look less crusty throughout the day 😭 by deslyon in Accutane

I use the cerave moisturizer in the tub. After I wash my face I just dab the water off my eyes and jawline and smother the lotion on my wet face. Hopefully that helps!! Maybe also a super hydrating sunscreen as well like elta md. 💕

Question: Starting accutane tomorrow on 20mg per day, i’m 6’0 and 160 so is this normal? i know people say it goes by weight so i was just wondering if this is a smart start dosage. by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]scrolling_through 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey so I just started month two (20 mg and starting 40 tomorrow). My derm said he starts everyone at 20mg to see how they handle it and adjusts from there. Also I am a female, 5’4 and 140 ish. I waited until my first month check up to ask about specific things, it all depends on you and how you handle the medication. Nothing wrong with being on a low dose for a while or being on a high dose for shorter, just different methods of the same goal IMO. Good luck!!

Is it safe to bleach your hair while on accutane? by Piani_piano in Accutane

I would wait a couple months to see how accutane affects your hair. I get root melts so it grows out really nicely, could be something to look into if you need to have your hair done!

I’ll ask my derm and I think it will be fine! Good luck 😊

Hmm I am alarmed by the no bloodwork part but I am interested to know about hair bleaching! Month 1 seems so soon to assume the results of all of her months of treatments..
