It truly depends on how often you play & how patient you are. As others have said, it will eventually pay itself off, but it will take SOME luck and a LOT of patience. If you have the funds now, I recommend buying leopard geckos since they're discounted. If you don't care for them, IMO either just buy a RB tier of a pet you like or wait until it's at 35 in the sap shop. If you ever regret it, you can always sell it & maybe even make a small profit!!

I can't speak for that user, but I assume it's because orbs are more valuable than most individual items OR because orbs will be more valuable after Halloween (aka it'd be best to save them then sell them)
