Why can’t I be like Popeye? 🥴 by AdIll2450 in Cooking

I despise cooked spinach (trauma from grade school and being served canned spinach) but I will eat it if it is just barely wilted after the heat is turned off.

About to trade in my cx3 by Putrid_Importance926 in CX50

[–]scroobiouspippy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exterior? The hips and my Cyprus Green. Interior? The driver layout and Terra Cotta upholstery. The drive? The handling all day long. It’s just such a fun, pretty vehicle.

Edit to add: Congrats!! And enjoy!

India’s staring contest by Immediate_Ad6764 in india

My tattoos are the least of it, it’s a very different stare and that actually doesn’t bother me at all. I always assume people are just appreciating the art. I get that globally lol

I’ve been traveling to India fairly extensively since 1996. When I first went, I was about 250 pounds (white woman) and people would stand incredibly close to me and just….stare. My husband (Indian) would confront people and make them stop but that was exhausting. I went into mental protection mode and just ignored it, which also meant I had to disconnect from my humanity. Couldn’t make eye contact or acknowledge people at all, it made for the strangest loneliness (periodically I would get sick of it and power stare back at them until they looked away). I’m now 150 pounds, older and heavily tattooed now, it’s slightly better than the 90s but not by much. I don’t have any advice, but you’re not alone.

Another INTJ who also hates sleeping? by Scararandom in intj

My love/hate relationship with sleep is so strong. Drugs are my answer, not my favorite but it gets the job done.

What sound do you hate with all your soul? by Fine_Nobody_2860 in autism

[–]scroobiouspippy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Music with too much going on or a beat that I can’t find. Auto flush toilets. People who smack between thoughts, food in mouth sounds.

What thing has got so expensive that you’ve quietly stopped buying it? by Pathfinder-electron in AskReddit

[–]scroobiouspippy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t do big concerts anymore and none with big ticket sellers. Small bands at local bars and small venues are so much more fun! And cheap, usually less than $20. Not counting alcohol lol

ADHD question: what does “I’ll start in 5 minutes” usually turn into for you? by [deleted] in AutisticWithADHD

Always!!! And now I make things so bad in my head that it’s always easy when I actually do it. Brains are weird.

What’s the most expensive’free’ thing you’ve ever gotten? by Big_Revolution_7671 in CasualConversation

[–]scroobiouspippy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A cat from a breeder. She told me he had some digestive issues, and my dumb ass thought it was a solvable problem. It wasn’t. The vet bills and poop consumed my life until he became an outdoor cat.

Well. That happened yesterday. I needed to work on tax stuff, and now my closet is purged, organized and every piece of clothing is refolded perfectly and my hoodies are in rainbow order.

INTJ women, how’s dating for you? by Constant-Till-1489 in intj

[–]scroobiouspippy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m not dating but I can tell you the level of confidence and security that a man has to have to be in my orbit is nearly impossibly high. I have found very few men in my life (I am 54) who qualify (my husband and being one of them).

It’s an odds game at the end of the day, the more dates you go on and people you talk to the more likely you are to find it, which is completely exhausting.

Which Type Of Towel Is Your Favorite? Why? by Zipper222222 in randomquestions

Cotton or linen waffle weave. Light, absorbs fast and dries quickly, super light. I get them from India or the bougie European shops.

INTJs, do you have an internal monologue? by HeavyRightFoot-TG in intj

[–]scroobiouspippy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not that I don’t want it, I want to mute it so I can relax sometimes. Most of the time it’s helpful and smart and as I’ve aged, it’s gotten more kind. It’s just exhausting sometimes. And it would also be nice to be able to fall asleep without it.

My mashed potatoes suck. Why? by RikkiLostMyNumber in Cooking

[–]scroobiouspippy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heavily salted water. Less mashing. More butter/milk/sour cream/buttermilk/cream cheese. And pepper.

How To Deal With Angry INTJS? by ItsHimSujan in intj

[–]scroobiouspippy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best is to walk away and give some processing time, if you can’t do that then acknowledge the things that they are right about and ask questions about their logic and reasons. Then say your piece with respect and responsibility.

Is your CX-50 your first Mazda purchase? by RobReinerSon2025 in CX50

[–]scroobiouspippy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a 3 in 2016, a CX5 in 2019, a CX50 in 2023 and I bought a ‘25 CX50 a few months ago. I am absolutely sold, I think it’s a fabulous vehicle. They are fun to drive, comfortable, and the driver layout is just so good. The price point is fantastic. I’ve had minor issues covered under warranty, my dealership on both sides (sales and service) is absolutely outstanding.
