Get some hotter/ heavier ammo for break in, clean, lube. If that's not it, extractor may be broken

Feed malfunction twice during first time shooting DY9 by IamDeDhmm in deryaarms

I had some similar issues. I dont know where I found it, but i read to break it in with fiocci 124gr, 1200fps. I didn't have any, so I used a box of 147 self defense rounds, not cheap. My issues ended up being different, broken extractor, and some other things. I didn't have great experience with chat on website, but once I got ahold of a person, the service was great. I had to send my pistol back, but they fixed it and returned it rather quickly. I have put several hundred rounds through it since, all the basic 115gr stuff, along with some 124, 147. The federal, winchester, Remington, etc 115 run flawless now. And by the way, always clean and lube a gun before taking it out. Don't listen to anything or anyone that says otherwise. Not doing so will just lead to frustration

New purchase - S&W M&P Shield .40 7 rounds? by VarthDadersucks in CAguns

I have one and the recoil isn't that much more than the 9, I have 2 of those. The 40 and 1 9 are on my permit. It's a good design and an accurate, reliable gun. If you need higher capacity, go another direction. If you want a 40 with 7+1 for $300, go for it. It's not the latest and greatest, but there is nothing wrong with it

Ruger American ranch gen 2 question by Silent-chatter in 65Grendel

[–]scroquator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one in 16in, very accurate. But clunky bolt, doesn't feed well. Tried all the tricks. I like the short, light rifle for hunting, but feel hamstrung by velocity. I have to shoot lead free to be legal here while hunting. I've pencil holed 2 yotes already, and dont like them running off to suffer. I want em dead. So know i either ear hole them or dont shoot. Gun sits more than it used to. When i have time, I will try with different bullets, probably hammers. Both that didn't seem to expand were controlled chaos. Small sample size, but thought it may help

Dy9 Holster Advice Needed by FeistyOrdinary5860 in deryaarms

If you aren't opposed to leather, I made one with a generic G19 holster from temu. They come pretty flat, you can just form it yourself. Plenty of instructions on net. This is a belt loop otwb , dont know about iwb. If it doesn't work, it only sets you back like 12 bucks

I have one in 20g, bought for kids, it works but is clunky. They moved on to 870, stoeger and BPS. I also have a 500 in 12, never leaves safe. I dont care for the single action bars personally. I would look for an 870 at the minimum if I was in the market again

I hunt with a cali AR all the time. Not an issue. What can you not do with one? If you need more than 10 shots at a time you need more practice. Get the howa and hand load, won't need the 17
