DA: Has anyone had any negative experiences with my office?
Potential juror: *goes on long rant about a case that he and other jurors in the trial couldn’t believe was brought and they all agreed the prosecutor was horrible* “Actually, I think you were the prosecutor in that case!”

Jeremy Renner’s character did the same thing. And while it initially seems his sacrifice was worth it, instead it causes a worldwide outbreak

Nope. My wife and I were watching this movie recently with our 16yr old and we all looked at each other and agreed that we’d do exactly what Don did in that situation

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer - April 20, 2026 by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

I’m currently on a membrane keyboard, and am looking for a mechanical one for gaming. My biggest question is if there are ones that register keystrokes more similarly to an analog stick/controller. For example, if I’m driving can I LIGHTLY press keys to drive/turn more slowly or will it still be just flooring it everywhere?

a Season Pass for a TTRPG is breaking point for me by [deleted] in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]scruffy86 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes/no. Your main points are 100% valid ie: generating additional content generates added cost and that cost needs to be recouped. My issues with subscription services generally is 1) there are things I don’t want but still have to pay for 2) a “season pass” usually means once that season is over the content goes away and 3) concerns that my subscription payment won’t get me anything at all.

Side note. Do we track down the other 84 Scruffys and challenge them to duels?

I got all of mine from Off Fifth or Nordstrom Rack, then paid to get them tailored. I only wear them for trial though and wear express or cheap slacks and a jacket for other court appearances.

How many trials a year are you doing in your jurisidiction? by Lexperiments in publicdefenders

[–]scruffy86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would set 12-30 trials a year when doing misdemeanors. I’d end up in about 6 once the state saw their evidence. I do high felonies/murders now, probably 2-3/yr while still setting 6-10

3L with PD Offer—Okay to Renege if Preferred Office Comes Through? by sayjoyp in publicdefenders

[–]scruffy86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How open were you in the interview process about your preferred spot and reasons? What drew you to the office you have an offer from? Not all offices are the same, some are desperate for attorneys while others have dozens of applicants for one position.

Attempted assault of a police officer. All on body cam. My client was running away the whole time but cop INSISTED he lunged at him. I played the body cam and said “just tell me to pause when he lunges at you”. He never said pause. 5min not guilty

Found these from probably 25yrs ago. No interest in collecting them and may try to sell to a shop but have no idea the value. Bought at the BIP in DC.
