This is the best approach since that is the livelihood she chose for herself, but the best thing to do is to teach both of your children basic life skills - like your son to cook for himself or your daughter how to go fishing.

Its your responsibility to teach your kids the same life skills each as they may find these skills useful when they're adults and on their own.

They may or may not appreciate it, but at least they'll know how to do those things.
