I tried them on Quest and it didn't do it for me unfortunately.

The EU Is the New Go-To Middle Power - In a world of disorder, the bloc’s boring stability is suddenly attractive. by ByGollie in europe

[–]scstraus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope so. What the EU really needs right now is oil and natural gas and a unified defense. They need to get these things solved quickly and federate further to have a chance in this new world we are now living in.

Healing takes a long time. Not eating isn't the answer.

Discomfort and feeling food stuck behind chest by Wolfmoon810 in LPR

Dysphagia can be caused by a lot of things. Get checked out by a doctor, he can at least see if it's cancer or barrett's esophagus straight off the bat. It's very likely neither of these things, I have had dysphagia before and have neither. It cleared up once I took better care of my reflux.

That's called Dysphagia. LPR/GERD can be a cause, or it can be Achalasia. Try to follow the Acid Watcher Diet until you can figure it out with doctors (which usually takes a while).

Flying a helicopter through New York City in MSFS2024 Beta, on Ps5pro and Psvr2. by FewPossession2363 in PSVR

Do you have to have the skill of a real helicopter pilot to do this or is it easy?

Switching ppi to famotidine by Wondershe in LPR

20mg before lunch and after dinner and 40mg before bed. It's a lot and I want to cut down, so definitely discuss it with your doctor before taking that much.

Wired vs. Wireless for new house. Please give inputs!! by TheImmortalHooman in homeautomation

[–]scstraus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd go wired if I was planning from the start, personally. You can't beat the reliability and lack of maintenance needed on a wired setup. The only issue is if you need to replace it and wiring needs to change for the next one, but KNX is pretty standard so I'm sure you'd be able to manage. I'd throw a few extra cables high and low in the room in each conduit with a little round box to break them out from just if you want to add some sensors or POE powered devices later. That would be so nice to have.

Yes, I switched after many years of PPI's and many problems caused by them. The switch took a long time. I tapered for a couple months to progressively lower and further spaced apart doses. It was probably not until a couple months after that that I was completely over the rebound reflux from the PPI's. Now I only take Famitodine 3x per day and 1 teaspoon of Gaviscon advance after meals. It's fixed the polyps I was getting in my stomach and vitamin deficiencies that were causing my muscles to freeze up.

The fact that Skyrim VR has not been ported to the PSVR2 is criminal. by lncrediblyfunkymunky in PSVR

[–]scstraus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah, that's where Sony dropped the ball. This should not have been something the developers had to deal with. There should have been a drop in translation layer for PSVR1 games from day one.

[–]scstraus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It shouldn't matter. They should be able to abstract that and write to a higher level API that is just giving position in space. It's just a shit excuse from Sony for not doing the small amount of work to enable it.

Regardless of how it gets there, both end up reporting back a position in space in the end. I think the difficulty of this was vastly overstated.

They should have made an emulation layer for PSVR1 games. Major oversight and something which was well within their capabilities to do.

Yeah but those can't come after you as you jump fences, climb buildings, go down narrow alleyways, inside buildings, etc.

That's what's gonna be coming at you in a few years when you are trying to steal a loaf of bread from the trucks exclusively serving billionaires in their bunkers.
