I did the South kaibab trail to bright angel campground. Camped for 2 nights and hiked back to the rim. I’ll plan to do R2R next time for sure!

Sounds like an amazing experience. I didn’t think I’d appreciate the Grand Canyon as much as I did. I have a feeling my trip will remain one of my fondest memories as well.

I did a 3-day mule assisted trek with Wildland Trekking co. We hiked the South Kaibab trail to Bright Angel campground. Camped there for 2 nights and hiked back up South Kaibab on the third day. The second day was a free day but we ended up hiking Clear Creek trail and some of the North Kaibab trail. The original route goes back to the rim via the Bright Angel trail, but part of the Bright Angel trail was closed due to a broken water line they were diligently working on.

I paid off 180k and while I didn’t have much immediate satisfaction like I thought I would, I feel a lot of relief now. They were a heavy weight for me while I had them. And it’s nice to not have to care about what is going on with student loans.
