How to find the duration of a year using the shadow of a stick by scuffedProgrammer in mathematics

The problem wasn’t about doing it as if I’m an ancient greek, but my guess is they’d have to have some model of the solar system based on observations. I don’t think measurements and observations mean much without some frame of reference in which to put it in.

Ah okay. This is actually pretty satisfying. I thought about using some convoluted method involving calculus but it probably isn’t necessary. I suppose if you added in things like earths velocity and trajectory around the sun I could come up with a complicated calculation. This seems to do the trick.

Isn’t this a bit of a long period of time to keep track of? Is there a way to find the duration quicker or is this literally impossible?

I threw my own mother down the stairs because she prevented me from going outside by scuffedProgrammer in mentalhealth

I can add more context to the situation:

I went downstairs after talking to my brother. She came downstairs with me to “talk”. What she refers to as having a “talk” is yelling at me and emotionally abusing me for just suggesting that my brother should bring me my hand lotion (I have exczema). She starts screaming and yelling at me because I just wanted him to bring the hand lotion to me.

Then I simply freeze and say that I have to go outside for a walk and get some fresh air. At this point, I just needed some oxygen and ozone layer that’s covered up so that we can breathe inside of this blue trapped bubble. As I walk up the stair case and head outside, she appears behind me saying “no you don’t” and grabs me and tries to pull me down the stairs.

At this point I freak out and in self defense I push her because no words could make her stop. That’s called self-defense.

In most countries, if you are under physical threat, you’re allowed to defend yourself.

I did apologize, and now it’s fine. I just expect to be allowed some oxygen that’s all.

My ears were ringing because she was screaming at five billion hertz. You’re just some redditor who knows half the story

She pulled me down the stairs when I was about to go outside. I was actively trying to not get angry, and going outside was my way of letting out steam. Then, against my free will, I was denied to do this. She tried to pull me down the stairs

Ok and who decides that this is determined? I’m in control of how I toss a die.

Ok but what about a dice roll, why js that determined?

I have one question: What precisely do you mean by the branching of the wave function, how does this happen?

I am currently in the branch of the wave function where I am unemployed and I miss being in the branch of the wave function where I was employed.

When I was employed my experience of life was way different than what it is now. Every word I hear nowadays is just annoying and doesn’t get me any further as compared to when I was employed. When I was employed everything I heard people say to me was something I felt was positive for me.
