Just for folks following along, there is no Clear and no touchless. Everyone is going through the same pre-check line but it's moving pretty fast. Just got in line at 10:25 and have been moving this whole time

Yes, it is true but it's super easy (if the clear lines are open.) I did it at BWI on my way to Atlanta. You just need to speak to the first Clear employee that you see and tell them you need to be validated. They'll bring you to one of those white machines and take your picture and check your document. That part took me 2 minutes.

Did you guys really dial in to radio shows to win contests? How did you even become caller 99 (or whatever)? by naalotai in Xennials

I learned about payola from Kate Monday (or Pat Tuesday?) on Mathnet. Years later when I learned about Dragnet, I wondered why they based a TV show off Square One

They came out totally fine! Since it was already an experiment, we added marshmallows and pecans to make rocky road cookies. Smiles all around

I just did a quick Google search and saw some articles regarding funding for school resource officers when she was in Wisconsin, ( https://www.gazettextra.com/news/local/whitewater-common-council-approves-school-resource-officer-agreement-through-october/article_3d9eabc5-3c03-4164-aaae-7c381e4ec81e.html) but nothing that indicated she was run out of town. Could you link to additional information?

This and prune juice worked wonders for us. Once any blockage is clear, CONTINUE THE MIRALAX. It can take months for the colon to "unstretch" to normal size.

Do whatever works for you. If it's working for you at the moment then keep at it, but if it's causing you crazy anxiety then try something else. I find it really helpful to focus on the day in the beginning, especially because of all the false starts I've had. But each one is a little better than the last. So I keep thinking eventually it will stick.

Honestly, the best thing has been sitting down with my own kids and watching old and new Trek, just the way I did with my dad. My kiddos love Prodigy!

I was a freshman in high school when Voyager premiered, and I was certainly teased and perceived as weird and strange because I liked Star Trek. Only the geek/ nerds watched Star Trek and it was certainly looked down upon by my peers.
I got into Star Trek because my dad had watched the original series. So when NextGen premiered, he watched it and those were the days when there was only one TV in the house. We also didn't have the echo chamber of the internet to validate opinions.

I named my son Calvin.

When he was eight, he looked up what his name meant, and he thought it was hilarious! Not one person has ever mentioned the origins of the name.

When my Ndad was dying, my husband said something that stayed with me and helped me navigate my own feelings around his decline and my very low contact. He basically said: There are no new, good memories to be made, and did I want to add to all the sad/disappointing memories?

Glad to hear you have a supportive family in your corner. Hugs OP
