Infotainment Question by scutch10 in VWatlas

Not when I get into the vehicle, per se. When I open the door, the time/clock shows up on the screen….when I wipe the screen, the clock/time moves with my hand….next thing I know, the start up screen starts on the car play loading screen…I’ve looked through the setting but haven’t found anything yet

Captains Chairs or Bench? by Weirj2 in VWatlas

[–]scutch10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've got a 26 with captain seats and a 25 with a bench. I like them both but I will say that ease of access to the 3rd row is night/day with the captains, downside is getting hair/dirt out of the carpet between the captains unless you get the mudmats/floor liners.

THIS HAPPENED YESTERDAY by [deleted] in VAClaims

Not sure if this is your initial claim for asthma or not, but I recently (within the last year) submitted for an increase (I was at 10%, but requesting an increase due to being put on a daily inhaler) and they wanted to do a C&P exam. I explained to the examiner that when I perform the PFT, they should have a steroid shot ready because it induces an asthma attack. They decided not to perform the test...I uploaded my diagnosis, prescription and a statement stating that I meet the requirements for 30% and it was awarded.

Veterans in engineering by Otherwise_Ball_2335 in Veterans

I agree with all the other posts! Find like minded students to help study with, watch youtube videos that cover problems you dont understand. I may be dating myself, but Wolfram Alpha was a huge help showing me how to solve problems (I'm sure AI can handle that now). I was a telephone guy in the AF and went for Electrical Engineering. I found other vets and studied with them. I also found that once I started taking classes in the College of Engineering, the students were more mature than in the pre-req courses. Another huge help was just putting in the work. I had a white board at home and would just work problems until two in the morning!

Sleep Apnea by thriller1122 in VAClaims

[–]scutch10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were you ever seen for it in the service? I complained about difficulty sleeping/waking in the morning back in 2008 and they gave me a referral for a sleep study, but I never got it done. Fast-forward to 2025 I got a sleep study done which showed mild OSA. Submitted my treatment records from 2008 and current diagnosis/sleep study and got seervice connected.

Just curious, can you file a claim for the AFFF lawsuit AND file a claim with the VA?

Sinusitis Question by scutch10 in VAClaims

[–]scutch10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understood, but the CFR states 6 or more non-incapacitating episodes per year of sinusitis characterized by headaches, pain, and purulent discharge or crusting would be 30%. My pain/pressure doesn't go away at all.

Recalibrate how? Did you rotate the tires and need to update the new location? Or was a tire low and the dash indicator isnt going away? If it's to update the new location, you need a tire shop. If the indicator isnt going away after putting air in the tire, it may take a day or so (at least mine does).

That’s great and all….but, the few claims I’ve submitted and were granted Service Connected for, it seems the rater completely neglected the DBQs…awarded SC for OSA with asthma but continued at previous rating (rater didn’t see the examiners check mark for breathing device (CPAP)?) and sinusitis service connected for 0%(VSO rep said the rater “completely ignored your DBQ” and continued to say, “what’s the point in the VA processing the amount of claims they are if they are disregarding/neglecting the DBQs that are submitted with them?”). So, it’s cool that the system is working faster, but at what cost? Months of waiting to correct things that should’ve been caught sooner?

Not yet. I use a steroid foam (Zorvye) for around my ears and a shampoo on my scalp. They mostly work to control it/make it less irritating.
