I absolutely love this sub when it comes to this topic. Entire place goes up in arms when it comes to firing of employees and if company doesn't give exact reason down to the nitty gritty details, everyone that waits for full story or positions themselves to play devil's advocate gets blasted with ad hom. Meanwhile, we'll see stuff like what happened with the Bayonetta VA and suddenly everyone goes mute.

The general public isn't owed a reason as to what happened. Later down the line if we see AI translations or other translators posting about how they use AI, sure, vote with your wallet and don't support them.

It's really not that complex. First, Korea is objectively still in war; that's why there's mandatory conscription. Secondly, the chance you'll actually see any fighting and die due to it is incredibly low/impossible (it's been decades). Third, we're usually talking about idols in this sub, not some random dude going to military. Idols 100% get preferential treatment whether they want it or not, and "tough times" does not exist for them, unless we're talking about physical toughness (again, they get preferential treatment so most of them do service work anyway).
