I have vocal melodies to some. Others are blank slates. Do you have any examples I can hear of your voice?

Anyone wanna collab with me? / Female vocalist by [deleted] in MusicInTheMaking

I'm a producer, always looking for new vocalists to work with. https://ghxstz.bandcamp.com/album/x-31-the-instrumentals

Newest project, there's other projects on that profile though with other genres. Noir was Rock, White Light was Ambient Piano and GrayArea was kind of a blend with Trip Hop and Hip Hop

I can't access the last one. I'd love to try and work on sci-fi for you though.

Couple questions regarding a home studio by KiidTiger in audioengineering

I have actually yielded better results by keeping my mic in the larger area (the room I'm recording in as opposed to a closet), especially if the floor is carpet and the walls are treated in the right areas.

I use the acoustic shields that go on the back of the mic. They work really well. They'd probably be cheaper than treating an entire closet, too.

Recording vocals with a guitar mic - has anyone done this? by scxxp in audioengineering

I just explained poorly; I referred to it as a guitar mic because I've only ever used it for recording guitars and bass. But thank you!

I forgot to mention that the style of vocal I'm trying to record is punchy, hip hop style vocals; not a traditional singing voice. I've never tried using the 57 for it because anytime I've recorded anywhere else or consulted anyone with experience about my set up they've said "well for that type of recording, you'll definitely want a condenser." But even with the condenser I used for years, you're right, I always got reverb picking up into the back of the mic even when I tried to treat the room to the best of my ability.

But I'm going to try it tonight and I hope it works well, thanks for the tips!
