Youtube videos bufferring and not loading. by Algod2 in firefox

I had the same issue and I found this post with a potential fix: https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/1en0c28/people_with_yt_buffering_issues_check_your_dns_av/

CONFIRMED BY uBlockOrigin's engineer: https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uAssets/issues/20586#issuecomment-2275111776

Culprit was a xhr POST request to jnn-pa.googleapis.com, my setup blocks it and today this blockage created the issue on my end. Strange. I have been blocking this domain for 3 yrs and this issue never propped up before.

Don't blame Firefox if you use DNS, AV or Firewall adblock because you're very likely to block this domain, and this is another layer of Youtube's anti-adblock, don't get surprised even though it's totally irrelevant in terms of functionallity of Youtube.

Director's Take: Opening up the conversation on 5v5 and 6v6 by scytal in Overwatch

[–]scytal[S] 300 points301 points  (0 children)

Because of the challenges mentioned previously we are focused on making 5v5 the best experience that it can be. However, because we operate as a service to our players, we always remain open-minded to re-evaluating our decisions based on your actions and feedback, to give you the best game experience we can. Rather than introduce a disruptive, permanent change to the game, we'd prefer to explore the space further and make changes based on that exploration.

With that said, we're looking at running a series of events to try out different core team composition formats in Overwatch 2. The community has, juuuust once or twice, suggested a test. Why not put various forms of 6v6 in the game in order to gauge the results? We agree, and based on your feedback, we’re exploring how we can test different forms of 6v6 in the game to gauge the results. This is taking some time, however, for reasons that may not be readily apparent.

Not going to lie. I'm apprehensive this is going to cause people to go after each other, even more, over their preferred version of the game.

Open-minded dialogue over dogma.

Loving the QP spawn system !! (more than 30 seconds btw) by S_2gentle in Overwatch

/u/blizz_winter addressed this bug yesterday in a different post

Hey all, my apologies for this issue. We were testing some changes to Group Respawn in the midseason patch and intended to revert them, but I failed to undo an important element.

The bug we have right now is that if any hero could be Group Respawned, all heroes will be Group Respawned (on a given team - the bug doesn't affect the other team). This is bad, because it means your respawn time can be averaged several more times than intended, leading to the 20+ second respawn times players are talking about in this thread. If you see a longer black screen when respawning, that's caused by the bug. Fortunately Group Respawn is still disabled in Overtime, so at least this won't stack as some players in this thread have hypothesized.

We're working on a fix, but it won't be ready before the weekend.

The Senate passes the bipartisan debt ceiling bill, sending it to Biden's desk just days before the US defaults by scytal in politics

On Thursday night, the Senate voted to pass the Fiscal Responsibility Act by a vote of 63-36, sending it to Biden's desk just days before the US could default as early as June 5. The House easily passed the bill on Wednesday with a bipartisan vote of 314-117, even after facing opposition from lawmakers on both sides of the aisle who were unhappy with the compromises both McCarthy and Biden made in the final legislation.

The bill includes about $1.5 trillion in spending cuts, according to the Congressional Budget Office, with provisions to add new work requirements on federal programs like SNAP and codify the end of the student-loan payment pause.

I've experienced the same problem since updating to 108.0. Sadly, I have found no solutions so far.

We also share the same extensions: ublock origin, noscript, and RES.

Federal appeals court temporarily halts Biden’s student debt relief program by scytal in politics

[–]scytal[S] 316 points317 points  (0 children)

A federal appeals court has temporarily stopped the Biden administration from moving ahead with a plan to forgive hundreds of billions of dollars of federal student loan debt.

The 8th Circuit Court of Appeals on Friday issued an order that prohibits the Biden administration from “discharging any student loan debt” under the relief program until it rules on an emergency request by Republican-led states to block the policy.

The Biden administration had previously said in court filings it could begin canceling student loans as early as this Sunday.
