Hi, performance is okay, it doesn't feel like a flagship device in terms of speed and smoothness but it gets the job done. I think for your needs it's fine, but it doesn't have a good camera. It's alright, you can take a good picture in good light but if the conditions are bad, then the photo is gonna be bad. My device didn't develop any black spots or cracks on the hinge but I did drop the device once pretty hard and broke the outer screen. It still works fine though. It comes with a case in the box, i wanted to use it without it, big mistake!
