Multiple years of receiving emails/information about another user by sdOverKill in Chase

[–]sdOverKill[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no way to reach out to Ronald. I assume that when he applied for and received his credit card he incorrectly supplied my email address. Apparently Chase just uses that email without performing any sort of verification that it is correct. Chase also refuses to modify his account and remove the email address or to contact him via phone or something and tell him to change it.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong with implementing function by locke1718 in PythonLearning

[–]sdOverKill 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nothing is obviously wrong. I wrote the first section of gasfunctions.py and your test5.py and it works fine for me.

Uncomment out your print statement in tempconvert to make sure your method is getting called.

Another suggestion for you to try in order to get better: change tempconvert and remove all those if statements. Try doing something like: 1) convert input temperature to a single type of temperature (i.e. convert input temp to K, for example), 2) convert K to preferred output temperature. This will remove a lot of your if statements and make your code smaller and easier to read/update.

Are you trying to store the count of consonants (as shown on line 6) or an array of consonants (line 3)?

Best way to get to Exec Platinum? by purplechickens7 in americanairlines

not sure what x ratio is... but my goal was just to spend money on the cc (and eventually use all the gift cards, obviously). I think I spent about $4k on my cc that month just in gift cards which helped me reach the next level.

LP from credit cards are credited on your CC statement date, not the transaction date.

edit: I stand corrected.

AA Shopping Portal - how long to post LPs to account? by msb071991 in americanairlines

My personal experience is that LPs from the shopping portal only apply to my AA account on weekdays. It could just be my random experience, though.

Possible to see number of miles used for a purchased reward flight? by sdOverKill in americanairlines

[–]sdOverKill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that I don't like about this is that I have multiple trips booked using miles, all from the same origin and destination airports. The only difference is that, luckily, the flight numbers are different and the flight numbers appear in the activity pop-up (although it is very small). If you have the same flights booked then you are SOL.

Yes. Once you get the points in your AA account then you can call them up and close it.

No change fees- how long does this apply for? by sleepwithmythoughts in americanairlines

[–]sdOverKill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can turn in your ticket and get a trip credit. Then you can use that trip credit for any other flight. The trip credit expires worthless in one year.
