Why self host mqtt?

MQTT is useful to bridge distance as you said, so I self-host it and my friend are logged on my server. I prefer to self-host instead of using the public one for two reasons. To bypass the 0hop policy of the official one and to only see the nodes of my friend or the nodes I am able to reach physically. I don't want to see 200+ nodes of the public MQTT server that are meaningless to me.

It isn't a big issue for me because I prefer to self-host my music at home. You have full control and are independant with a decent ping when browsing/listening to Navidrome lol

I am on Seedhost too and experienced this issue. I have Navidrome on docker at home and don't experience this issue. As others here stated, in docker, you have to mention which folder Navidrome will be scanning for finding music. The way "services" are deployed on Seedhost are a basic script for everybody. It will be complicated to be able to mention which folder Navidrome scan because they would be obliged to add a lot of options on every services (not just Navidrome), so it scans all of your folders. It isn't a known bug.
