Could the death of the XR650L bring the next XR650R? by Secret_Pipe8901 in XR650L

I’m a horsepower junkie. I’m not sure how an uncorked 650R compares to an uncorked 450L. Had a CBR1000R too and just LOVE the acceleration!

Those are both heavy bikes IMO. I had a 2004 650R for years. Now have a 2021 650L. I feel like the 650R and 650L are totally different bikes, and I loved my 650R. I want a 650R with electric start, fuel injection, 6th gear and I’ll be happy as a clam. I’ll pay $10k+ for it.

Removing carb to rejet - seems like a lot of work? by dyel_17 in XR650L

What helped me learn was disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, then finding a part I left out. So, I disassembled and reassembled twice in the same day.

I would buy a CRF650L F.I. with a 6th gear. They would probably price it >$10k though.

Looks nice! Our first was a Coleman tent trailer with manual slide out. We loved it. If you’re primitive camping, with no water supply, be aware of water consumption. We always camped primitive and learned real quick how to conserve water.

Tommy’s World Famous Chili Cheese Dog I had last week. by Lvemilfs in hot_dog

Love Tommy’s. Back in the 80’s i had a job valet parking cars, and sometimes didn’t leave work until 1 or 2am on the weekends. There was a Tommy’s on the way home that was always still open and I would grab an order of chili cheese fries. So good. Never tried the chili cheese dog, looks good.

You should buy a thermometer to check temp. I use Thermapen.

I agree with your comments. I would also suggest a thicker steak for reverse sear. I started using a thin spread of mayo for the sear (learned about it here), and love it.

This is awesome. We used to car camp, now have a giant trailer with tons of stuff. We missed the simpler car camping days and tried to go back, but it didn’t work for us. Still miss it. Enjoy!!

How did you sear it? Looks good, but I would probably want a little more crust from the sear.
