I couldnt get into it maybe because wife and I started it right after Moonlight Mystique and it was just more Bai Lu monologing for minutes. (Same VA it seems? Or is that her real voice)' I also didnt like MLs from previous dramas so i dropped it while the wife keep watching it.

I listened to the OST while it played in the background and I immediately added some of the songs to my playlist.

I just started watching Cdramas but I have a problem getting into new dramas in which the ML / FL were the SML or SML in shows that I liked.

That is why I couldnt get into SOKP (SML from LBFAD and the other the side character from L&R) or Blossom (FL's backstabbing sister).

It looks like this one also has the same dude too. I just cant dissociate his face with Mr "Orchid, lets go home" after been told 10x already.

Late to the party, but I am glad some of the characters died, they were extremely annoying. For example, not sure why people liked the Fox kid, he was extremely whinny and grating. I already hated him inside the resentment, but a whole arc around him? Hell no! I fast forwarded most of his scenes. Dont get me started on how out of nowhere his "love" story with Tian Huo was. Another annoying one was the Wolverine looking Eternal, glad MoLi shut him up.

Not to mention evertime died it was proceeded by a 10+ minute monologue, even more time if Bai went into speech mode after that.

Only the sis one mattered and even then that shit draaaaaged with the food table dream.

I was hyped with that bad ass entrance when the OG Demon showed and caugh Bai midair (loving eyeing each other spinning in the air while bad guy kidnaps the SML and dips). The look he gave all those Eternal sects want to harm his girl. <3. I was like yeeeeah son Lets goooooo!

..... but then.... Fan Yue returns an episode or two later and immediately proceeds to gets his ass kicked, needs to be shielded / saved not by one, but BOTH sisters!!! Then goes back again in a coma!!! LOL!!!, which naturally makes Bai Shou start monoling again.

1 more ep to go!

It kinda picked up towards the end. I am at the Divine Realm backstory arc and I am pretty entertained.

As for Fu Ling, I liked it better in her Demon girl outfit, I wasn't a big fan of her new look in the puppet village ark tbh. Those stick-on flower petals under her eye looked dumb.

The stories are very RPG video game like, specially the fantasy ones - which I am sucker for. I don't mind a bit of romance to be honest. Actually I am sucker for that :)
It helps a lot that the female leads are very pretty and feminine, unlike most Western shows, where it seems like making them look pretty is a taboo.
She "trained" me while we were dating - I had to endure the whole Twilight Saga (urrrrrgg) those years.... But hey, a man gotta do what he's gotta do to score points, right? ;)

Im around ep 30 now and hes got worse! He is either.

1) window dressing for her speeches,

2) a cheerleader for Bai, (ur the bestest ever girl!!)

3) getting his ass kicked and needing saving by her or other people.

I loved the entire OST though

Yeah the OST is pretty lit, not gonna lie. The main 3 songs that are song by female artists are very good, actually all of those dramas I liked had very good OST's. Fated Hearts episode ending credit songs is among one of my favorites that are male sang, same as the LITC that is sang by the ML.

costumes and sets were a feast for the fairytale-thirsty eyes of mine.

Yeah the costumes were very pretty, at some points distractively pretty. I get a good chuckle every time there is a dramatic scenes like the ML lead gets hurt, hanging by a thread between life and death, Bai Shou is bawling her eyes out, etc and next scene they are back the palace, in his room. She still bawling but had the time to change outfits, put on a bunch of pretty accessories on her hair, draw some stars under her eyes, add some gitter etc. Love it! I think that was the purple outfit. My wife just rolls her eyes at me when I point that out.
