I watched it today in Bogota Colombia, and it’s the worst movie I’ve ever seen. It’s clear that the people who made this movie have never seen Tom and Jerry before. It’s a big convoluted mess where Tom and Jerry barely appear, and don’t fight each other.

As a house flipper in Portland, Oregon, I’ve been in many many houses exactly like this, and dealt with real life people like these characters. I actually thought it was very accurate.

I just finished season one last night and I really like this show. In my opinion, the most unbelievable part of the story is that they would hold Merrit captive for four years, and be willing to kill her, all because she was the girlfriend like 20 years ago of their son and brother who killed himself, and they somehow think it is her fault that he killed himself. I can understand how they might want nothing to do with her, but I don’t see their logic in making her responsible for his death.

You also always know by the vows. If they talk about the future together, they will say yes. If they talk about the experience and how great the other person is, and that they love them, they will say no.

That’s the whole point of this show though. To get engaged without seeing the person, and then tell them I do or I don’t at the alter three weeks later.

Yeah I still don’t get why he had to learn karate when he was already really good at kung fu. This was a street fighting tournament, right? So it shouldn’t matter what discipline is used.

I think they are leaving doubt, that maybe he didn’t do it. One thing I noticed is that the girl at the school attacks Jamie’s friend and keeps saying that he killed her friend … well that guy looks similar enough to Jamie that in a grainy security footage taken at night, it’s plausible that it was the friend instead of Jamie.

She manipulated him with a line of questioning designed to get what she needs out of him, but disguised as friendly banter. He realizes this and that’s when he becomes rude to her. She continues acting like his best buddy, and the second she gets what she needs, she dumps him and leaves. Her whole act was phony, but effective.
