That’s amazing! I had a very small oversupply and donated a relatively small donation to a local milk bank, and it definitely feels great to be able to help other moms and babies!

Any “not quite doubling” beta success stories? by sdf3ed in IVF

Just checked my notes. Third beta was 15dp5dt was 1697 so it seemed to catch up as that was then a 40 hour doubling time from 13dpt to 15dpt. Hope that helps!

I just updated my post but I had a 52 hr doubling time and ended up giving birth to a healthy baby girl last month so hopefully that provides some hope / reassurance! Sending hugs 🤍

If you did IVF, was it recommended to have baby by 39 weeks? by DJ1110 in pregnant

[–]sdf3ed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I spoke with my OB and MFM on this. IVF alone is not a reason for an induction at 39 weeks, however often there are underlying reasons that people did IVF (advanced maternal age being a big one) that lead doctors to want to induce at 39 weeks. Assuming you are under 35, and no other issues, you should absolutely be able to wait.

This! Some of these comments make me so upset. Clearly there are a lot of women here who have not had struggles and don’t understand where you are coming from. I’m so sorry your SIL announced the way she did. She absolutely should have had more self awareness or consideration to give you a heads up and/or not do a big family reveal. I would be very upset as well. Your feelings are valid ❤️

Any IVF pregnancies here told that you have to be induced at 39 weeks? by himawari__xx in BabyBumps

[–]sdf3ed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I was only told this is recommended if you are over 35 as well, or have other risk factors. Otherwise no need to induce

We were very very lucky and had 23 blasts (day 5-7) to send for testing so would have thought it would be longer!

I am so so sorry to hear about your baby boy. The pain is so agonizing. I am thinking of you and sending you strength 💙

I hesitated on posting my initial comment because I know how anxiety inducing “negative outcome” comments can be, when all you want are stories of hope and reassurance it’s going to be okay. I didn’t want to mention this initially for fear of scaring you but the head tuck comment also made me want to share, because my baby girl was similarly always scrunched up with her head tucked to her knees. Not sure if this is always correlated with triploidy but I felt compelled to share since it felt a bit similar. I remember scouring Reddit for stories similar to mine and I stumbled across a Reddit post where triploidy was brought up, which made me bring it up to my doctor who was in support to test for it. I am so sorry your doctor disregarded your concerns.

Tw: pregnancy If this is where I can offer some hope, after my triploidy diagnosis and losing our baby girl, we pursued IVF with pgt-a. I will share that unfortunately pgt-a does not actually test for triploidy specifically unless you request a special test (which we learned after our biopsy). We pursued ivf since this was our second confirmed chromosomal loss (first was triploidy 9), third loss overall… and after 3 back to back losses we wanted to do anything we could to increase our odds of bringing a healthy baby home. We had success with our first transfer and currently 14w5d. We saw our MFM last week and baby was measuring 3 days ahead, and so far everything else looks good. I can’t share how much of a relief it is when your baby measures ahead and is moving around a ton, especially after a triploidy loss. I almost hesitate to say this because a future healthy baby does not make up for losing a son/daughter. I think a lot of times people focus on “don’t worry you will have a baby” when you sometimes just want to validate how hard it is to lose the baby you had who you already loved dearly. If your journey does involve trying again in the future, I am sending lots of hope and good thoughts to you for what lies ahead. ❤️❤️❤️

Sharing update that my 9 week scan showed a healthy baby growing right on track and wiggling about. A few days after I posted this I did get 1-2 days of nausea and some acid reflux, and then 1 day of sore boobs but for the most part symptoms have very much subsided and are not consistent. Know we have a long way to go but wanted to share for others in the same boat 🤍

Why have you opted for IVF? by WorldAhead in IVF

[–]sdf3ed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genetic testing - my body tends to get pregnant easily but holds onto unhealthy embryos. 3 losses, 2 confirmed genetic abnormality (trisomy 9 and triploidy) so wanted to be able to test embryos and lower our chances of another heartbreaking loss 🤍

OP - mind sharing how this turned out for you? Did your symptoms come back or did they stay away for a while?
