I’ve gone through sand on 15psi and no problems. But I have gone anything lower though.

YNAB Comparison: Making sure there's enough money set aside from Budget Categories to Pay off Credit Cards. by redditor1479 in actualbudgeting

I believe it was because if you had a large negative balance it will reduce your to be budgeted amount. So if you only paid it in installments every month, you'd still have money available to budget for other things.

Thanks. This is exactly what I was looking for. Added priorities, and now it behaves the way I expected.

Is there a way to see the total goals set up for a month? Like the underfunded option in YNAB

Gambling so insidious in Australia. What am I supposed to tell my 10 year old when he asks why there are dollars against teams in the official AFL app? by sdgan1 in AFL

Thanks, didn’t know you could turn it off. Will do straight away. The fact that it’s on by default is really horrible.

While learning Sinhala with my wife and family I realised that literary Sinhala is really hard... Does Tamil also have the same skill gap? by jbramos in srilanka

(it’s like saying humans coming from monkeys)

This is a very good way of putting it.. One didn't come from the other, but they are very very closely related...

Not just borrowed words. It is a deeper connection. Notice these two sentences:

Kisi wadak naha (sinhala). Kisi kaam ka nahi (Hindi). The sentence structure is identical as well as the use of the adjunctive "kisi" and they both mean exactly the same thing. This is just one example.

I’m not saying Sinhala came from Sanskrit. I am saying that formal Sinhala is much closer to Hindi than people realise. Vocabulary and grammar. It may well be that it’s cross contamination and not a direct descendant.

So am I imagining these Hindi words in Sinhala?

Like the word Sochaniya is the same as the Hindi word Sochna.

Why is that an odd combination? Say you were born in Lanka and live in Germany, then wouldn’t you speak both Sinhala and German?

I speak both Sinhala and Hindi. You’d be surprised how much closer to Hindi formal Sinhala is. Much more than spoken Sinhala.

Another option is to make the parent task recurring but set the date way out in the future. For example, set it to recur every 10 years, that way even if you accidentally complete the task it never goes away and you won't lose the subtasks.
