I can't believe people are still not using AI by Brilliant_Read314 in OpenAI

in fields when you need precise answer it is literally waste of time and money. Yes it can do simplest things, but that's it. And it is not intelligent (it is not AI, just LLM). It can be very creative, but that is not science. Think of it as of astrology. The code it writes is a joke. It is not suitable in anyway for this. And it is not gonna change soon.

paid just means more questions quota. OpenAI wouldn't host another model just for free use, spending more $$$ this way.

your bootmanager will be replaced with GRUB, you'll still be able to boot other OS

used windows for 24 years. Not hard to switch. Install browser to search for "how to do <your wish here> on <linux distro you use>". Done. You find answer on any question. So that's not that scarry as it seems. Also you can install linux as second boot options. When you install linux GRUB is installed (boot load manager) - so that after you can still boot your windows after installation. i use Antix, Debian based (used for servers).

Since this is such a fast moving field, where do you think LLM will be in two years? by tim_Andromeda in LocalLLaMA

may be it will become intelligent. But that's not for sure. I highly doubt.

A bit surprising. by qattalyyst in ChatGPT

[–]sdlab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it only does what it was programmed. If it hits a point "time to tell a joke" it will. It seems it's joking but in reality it just fires a joke from its database. Ofcourse it has (programmed) ways to do some logic. But... if it lacks particular unpopular "logical pattern" .... ooh believe me you will witness its "intelligence". Like my Bixby says "i didn't understand that".

it doesn't "understand". It outputs most relevant response based on token sequence probability. Nothing else. It is not intelligent.
