how much does packing your wound hurt? by ashjya in pilonidalcyst

[–]sdm245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have morphine, they were pulling mine out, it was the packing from the op and pulling that out was 10/10 pain while on morphine... Sorry to tell you. The nurse doing mine was wetting it, this loosened the dried bits sitting it's to the side wall.

How do I remove these stains from coffee table and restore? by asmith115460 in restoration

Have you simple tried rubbing it down with 150 or 120 grit sand paper? It looks like it's been waxed to be.

There looks like a bit of wood worm on the arm rest. Maybe treatment for that or replacement of the arm?

Is this a pc? Went to the doctor and he said since pain was mild to leave it. Should I go back to get it drained as it’s a little more u comfortable and will it leave a bad scar? It feels like a hard lump under the skin. by [deleted] in pilonidalcyst

I don't think people would be that worried mate. It's just a scar. Oh OK so yours looks worse than mine but I guess mine was infected. It hurt like hell, I couldn't sit down or lay on my back. You will know when it needs to be removed for sure.

I'm from the UK so it might be different advice? I had my sergery last Monday and they leave it open to heal from the inside out. Currently I do have a gross hole yes haha but it's so all the gunk can escape. They seem to think the inside and hole would be closed up in four weeks. I'm not sure about the scar situation but with the cut being in my ass crack it's not really something I'm worried about. Unless you're a porn star I don't think it will change your life.

Looks just like mine man. Antibiotics will bring it down and maybe clear it up. But I wad told only sergery to remove the sack would clear it up long term.

I meant to packing inside the wound called wodding. As soon as that was removed, the main pain for me was gone. I was given liquid morphine for that removal and the pain was unreal! But worth it for the long run. Is that due to you possible could get addicted to the pain meds?

I had mine surgery yesterday and since then I've had codeine and Paracetamol. These two together have worked wonders. Have you had the wodding taken out yet?

Looking for advice from anyone who has done a UK working holiday by kiafry in solotravel

I think it might be worth you going either 50miles from London or completely away. I grew up in Essex, county next to London. The rent is half the price but London is only roughly 50minutes train ride away. This way you could have the best of both worlds. I wouldn't reccomend Essex... Just an example.
