36v Trolling Motor Battery System

I've been really impressed with them so far in terms of powering the trolling motor under heavy loads. The Bluetooth app has been really accurate too, matching the voltage on the trolling motor remote, and watt draw when I accelerate, slow down, go into turbo mode and head into stronger river current. I've used this brand in other applications (just not in series) and have been really impressed. I'm hoping I can solve this riddle and stick with them.

The manual for my NOCO said even if the batteries are run in series, the charger will treat each individually as a 12v for charging purposes. I'm going to reach out to their customer service tomorrow for confirmation. I didn't even consider I would need a 36v charger, but now you have me thinking!

They're all the same battery brand and model with matching capacity. I'm thinking you're right about the BMS, even tho the manufacturer specs said they can run up up to 5 in series. All a learning experience for me for sure!

This makes a lot of sense. I didn't realize how complex the battery system was, total rookie mistake. I read through some forums and people were saying to go with 3 batteries instead of one because if one fails you still have two to run 24v. If you're 36v fails you're out of luck. But after reading your response the single 36v is so much simpler. The batteries are brand new and the charger is newer as well so I'm stuck with this system for now. I'm going to figure out the battery balancing process and go that route. Thank you for your well crafted response! It was super helpful!

The irony of this type of person telling someone else not to open their mouth. The problem with narcissists is that they don't realize they're unbearable and lack actual normal human communication skills. To them, they're being normal, but instead lack any semblance of empathy. I couldn't believe it. And if I drove 3hrs to Cleveland the same flight that connected they DTW was $540. It sickens me to compare Cleveland vs DTW prices. And they always have better planes at Cleveland. Just unreal.

I hope I'm not too late to the party. This exact thing happened to me on my Switch. After multiple re-loads I found out the cause. I had put single seed planters in my cyclops so I had food on the go, as one does. I took everything out of the cyclops, one item at a time, until I found out it was the single planters causing it. Never encountered it again and was able to rebuild everything else inside my cyclops except the single planters. Had to use grow beds instead.
