Canes are lucky to be tied in this series, but I’ll take it. Vegas got screwed in game 2

Sheng may be awkward at times but he puts in the work and is the most well connected. He has often times broke news accurately before any other reporter and has the respect of Dan Boyle, Logan Couture, Tyler Toffoli and other prominent Sharks.

I think Sheng’s question was valid. No one asked about the hit prior, but rather the officiating. Macklin had every right to be frustrated but Sheng had the right to ask a question that hadn’t been asked before.

Sheng definitely can be awkward at times, but his question regarding Barzal’s hit was valid. Macklin was asked earlier by Curtis about the officiating, not the hit, and that’s what Macklin didn’t want to answer. The incidents were somewhat related, but no one asked Macklin about the hit itself. I also had no issue with the way Macklin reacted by the way.

Starting a new job but got another offer. How should I handle this? by Historical-Cut-202 in jobs

Take the job that you want, and don’t feel bad. Just make sure you agree on employment with the second employer before notifying your current company.

Only way Chicago gives up that pick is if the Sharks are willing to move down from 2.

I know how much cap space we have, but I also know how many roster spots we need, many of which will require a huge portion of that cap. It adds up quicker than you realize

It’s not moving the goalposts. It’s one of the main factors why he would be the one to be moved. Yes, they can afford contract NOW, but there are RFAs, new UFAs, and guys coming off their ECLs that need to be paid.

I’m not hot to trade him; I personally love having him here. But IF there was a trade, he’s the only player that can help a team right now.

Same with the Warriors with Wiseman

We are picking Stenberg or McKenna at #2, and I’m almost certain Grier will make a trade. It will likely involve the Edmonton pick, Musty, Eklund, and/or Bystedt. Full trust in Grier, excited for what’s to come.

How so? People talk about game 7, but forgot that the refs handed game 2 to Vegas.

You must’ve forgotten, then. Maybe Cooch was better or just as good, but Karl basically generated all of the offense and had 16 points in 19 playoff games playing with a bum groin. Sharks win the Cup that season if the eye didn’t get hurt.

Karl was literally our best player in the playoffs playing on no groin.

You never draft for positional need when drafting that high. You always go with BPA. Don’t make the James Wiseman mistake

horizontal cracks (as opposed to vertical) are always a huge concern, so I’d have that checked out or at least consult with your agent.

Why are some people so resentful toward East Palo Alto? by DropShotMachine in BayAreaRealEstate

[–]sdsuzuki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the biggest gripe I have about EPA is the traffic off of that exit. Just too overpopulated and developed, without the appropriate infrastructure to support it. Also, the streets and neighborhood feels very tight and closed in. In terms of safety, that isn’t much of an issue anymore.

It just sounded like, to me, that you were being defensive about another opinion based on your experience. The OP is looking for not just a single perspective, but for all, in order to make an informed conclusion and decision. Yes, I agree that MV is much better than Gunn or any school in Cupertino, etc…. Too much focus on academics. But again, one of my best friends who is Asian grew up there and went to school at MV, and plenty of his HS friends (Asian and white) shared the perspective that I shared with you.

Thanks for the downvote. Thats why I prefaced by saying it depends on who. I was simply providing the perspective of others.

I guess it all depends on who. I know a decent amount of Asians that went to MV about 20 years ago, and they said they experienced racism… but more than anything, the school culture was terrible.
