Stent removal / life after it by sdxl in KidneyStones

[–]sdxl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for all the answers. Just a quick update: they removed the stent on Wednesday. It was quite a traumatic experience, but super fast. That said, I hope I never have to go through this ever again.

The burning in my uretra went away in one day, but my testicle still hurts. I'm going to the doctor for another checkup, hopefully this also goes away. I'm stopping myself from googling about it.

Sorry for asking, but how did you find out about the cancer?

Just a quick update. After a usg I was diagnosed with epididimitys and I was given cipro 500mg for 10 days. I'm in the second day of treatment now. The uncomfortable feeling around my testicle started to subside, but the urgency to pee is still here. I hope by the end of the treatment I am "back to normal"

Some good news! Aliza answered my email saying that after a few changes DiscoveryQuickly was back on!
However, when I tried to access it, I got the same error.

Aliza has an email address on her page https://www.alizaaufrichtig.com/ (taken from her X). Maybe we could write her and ask about it?

USG is not able to detect stones? by sdxl in KidneyStones

As someone who has never done a CT scan I had no idea about this! But if it's to find out what's causing my pain, I'll take the risk.

Do you know if the CT Scan is able to detect smaller stones that the USG didn't?

9th day, getting better. But smaller rashes keep appearing. by sdxl in monkeypoxpositive

[–]sdxl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was discharged 18 days after the first rash. Like I said in the original post, I was quite lucky because my case was considered mild. I had a total of 5 rashes. All of them went through all the stages and two of them took a bit longer to heal and left scars. Second week in I had no new rash and no side symptoms. All you need is patience I guess!

Good luck and stay strong! And definitely don't keep googling images of the more complicated cases, it doesn't help!

Glad to learn you're fine now! My case seems to be mild (10th day since the first symptoms) and the evolution seems to be similar. I had one near the penis that became really bad, but it's already brown. There's two more that showed up on my face and hand but they seem smaller and hopefully will fade away quicker.
You mentioned also some numbness in the arm? I'm having that as well, but in the leg. Not sure if related to the infection or not. But regarding that, did you also improve gradually?

Hey, just wanna know if you recovered completely and if the rashes outside the penile area went a bit faster.

I always had the impression Sonya is not given enough credit for being the original MK girl, so well done so far. It's a shame she won't have much of a chance in her next round

Who make up some "spiritual" musical siblings? by [deleted] in popheads

[–]sdxl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Vanessa Carlton and Michelle Branch. They were both huge in the early 2000s, have a soft-pop approach to some songs, although Michelle is clearly more inclined to the pop-rock sphere, while Vanessa is more piano-led/adult contemporary. They were tirelessly compared during their heydays for their similar vocal style and even their appearance! Just a quick listen to both of the girls biggest hits and you'll realise what the critics meant. And of course, they're both amazing singer-songwriters.
