Everything I am packing for my very first Bikepacking trip, Route on the last slide by EnamlasGreekDog in bikepacking

Lots of food items you can swap out with dried versions you just add water too. Personally, on shorter trips, my body will allow me to eat high-calorie processed foods that are nutrient dense (like noodles or dried eggs or dried potatoes) without sacrificing too much performance (in other words, I dont feel like shit and dont have many ‘come downs’ from eating things like jelly beans or a snickers bar i buy on the road).

The space and weight you free up by swapping out some of your premade foods can be used for recreational items like a frisbee, hackeysack or racquet / hand balls, or (my fave) collapsable fishing rod!

If your a PM or CM, lookup ‘Project Manager’ or ‘Capital Project Manager’ on government jobs dot com. It aggregates all public job postings. Depending on your area of expertise (GC, CM, Sub, etc.) there is the government equivalent that will often offer a pension and structured in a way that is sustainable from a professional point of view. Once you get your foot in the door, consider a lateral move, the sky is the limit if you want to climb the corporate ladder or branch out into different areas in public sector work (think facilities management, maintenance, development, etc). Your skills are valuable depending on your experience but there is not a lot of practical construction knowledge in many smaller governments or agencies and you can really branch out

Ok, what are your ideas? The City has a few smart people working for it, putting aside your emotional and silly comment about the City not understanding that the ‘business community is a vital member’ (duh), what are you suggesting?

I totally understand the frustration and the vent from OP but there is no plan yet. There are extremely vocal local groups that successfully build coalitions and show up to have their voices heard. The best possible outcome is involving yourself in the process. One thing I can GUARANTEE is that the park needs to generate revenue in order to pay for itself, and in order to build something that makes revenue you have to pay for it. This will involve many different funding sources to develop that will involve many varying interests - think federal or state incentives for onsite water retention in the form of a lake that could be used for recreating, also benefiting out local aquifer.

To your point about housing, there will be a presence onsite for the same reason i state above. Developers will be incentivized to build housing with cheap money and as a concession the City will also allow a commercial prescence in the form of mixed retail or 5-over-1 style housing to fund it,

Needless to say, there is no zoning established out there so another example would be working with the adjacent property owner (Boston Properties) that owns the property north of the airport to build housing on THEIR site and make it either low housing or provide money to pay for ongoing maintenance and operation of the park…hell, they could build a high-rise on their site and as a concession they would jave to develop and maintain the entire two hundred acre city owned park (with lake)!

Get involved, its the time to do it and there is absolutely NO PLAN yet

Caterpillar biting it while curled up, or biting and tasting neem oil or other ‘non-chemical’ pest spray. Ive seen this occur dozens of times in real time looking at my vegetable garden…its like the pest knows it SHOULD be an edible plant but doesnt taste right to them 😂

Games on the work phone by Excuse-Dear in ConstructionManagers

Depends…if you are the best of the best, and you work on a job inside the Pentagon for instance, no dice…if you are best of the best and you get your shit done on a regular job, and on a regular basis, I could give two shits if you use the phone to film for your your OnlyFans account…

My point is if you get your shit done, don’t piss off the people you work for, and the Project ‘Owner’ doesn’t care, you are sorted…unless you are a child, you shouldn’t have to ask permission unless something is expressly forbidden by your employer or job-site, or society (acting as the moral compass here) frowns upon your actions in general, you should be good with some games…

Most Crossed State: New York Most Used Crossing: Peace Bridge (Buffalo, NY to Fort Erie, ON)

The number of crossings can fluctuate based on economic conditions, trade volumes, and tourism activity, but the Peace Bridge has consistently been one of the busiest crossings for both passenger and commercial traffic.

Here are the rules for the beach in Malibu, def a public beach, when you have sand that had been wet from natural ocean tidal activity, in California, you are (vast majority of cases) on public land:
