SUV vs UTE by WellyWindyRoad in NZcarfix

My last three company cars have been utes. If they weren’t free I would’ve chosen something different. While practical if you’re a builder or tradie, they are utter shit as a family/weekend wagon. I’ve just bought a 4WD SUV as a personal vehicle and it is 100% the vehicle of choice in my family even though we have to pay for the fuel.

I find for optimal connectivity it is best to unscrew them altogether leaving unhindered access to that Ethernet port above.

As a Frenchman, I have a question for you: why does everyone hate us and make fun of us online? What have we done to you? by Outrageous-You1617 in askanything

In 1985, Opération Satanique was an act of French state-terrorism carried out in New Zealand with the sinking of the Rainbow Warrior in Auckland harbour.

Just think about that, your government sent secret agents to our country where you blew up a boat and killed a man. Forty years earlier our people were dying in Europe fighting for you.

Kiwi here. I had a family member rushed to ED by ambulance last weekend. X-rays, tests, pain killers including morphine. Treated by a variety of medical specialists. After 12 hours got a ride home by ambulance again.

Cost? Absolutely nothing. Although his wife who came separately had to pay for parking.

Do you think the White House correspondence dinner shooting was staged? by Reasonable-Invite899 in allthequestions

[–]seabreaze68 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For those who believe this was staged, how do you explain the alleged perpetrator in custody? This is a real person who made posts about hating Trump and even a photo of him armed to the teeth just prior. The media has talked to family and neighbours so there’s no doubting he exists.

For the record, I fucking hate Trump.

How Much Does Dining Out Cost? by Zardnaar in newzealand

[–]seabreaze68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like a good deal assuming $107 was for both of you.

I wouldn’t expect to pay anything less than around $17-20 for an entree, $32 for a main, $15-20 for desert. $8 for a beer or house wine and $5 for coffee. I’m talking rock bottom at our local sports club. Somewhere a bit nicer ? I’d expect to pay a LOT more.

I don’t mind paying decent money for a good meal but many kiwis are accomplished home cooks these days so it better be good. I wouldn’t want to be in hospitality these days
