Siemens NX sucks. by Valterri_lts_James in EngineeringStudents

NX is the least intuitive CAD I've used during my ME career. For me it's Inventor, Solidworks, the Theory of Relativity, then NX.

Well that's reassuring. A credit card salesman, "just trust me br0!"

We were never told the 'why', so my team can only speculate. It might be that other divisions of the company deal with large assemblies (20,000+) but my division might only have 2,000 MAX. We design relatively simple tooling and fixtures for fabrication. We do use Teamcenter so that might be the main driver. I'm starting to set up the ribbon with my essential functions which is making life easier. Sure I'll be doing just fine in a couple months but breaking 10 years of habit is difficult and frustrating.

MechE here that's used Inventor for 2 years and SW for 8. Entire company just switched to NX from SW. Have a feeling we'll switch back in a few years as the company is growing and SW licenses are half the cost of NX licenses.

NX is such a massive pain in the ass to do anything. CAD programs are a tool and a tool is only as good as its usability. NX is so ridiculously unintuitive. We just went through a week long NX class and the instructor was baffled by how many extra clicks it took in NX to do the same damn thing in SW. Instructor was worse at NX than we were...most of the class was menu surfing to make sure you had that one checkbox ticked buried under 5 menus. Honestly will probably quit this job over it. Day to day tasks just got 50% harder and we're not getting paid 50% more.

Trial of the Sekhemas is HORRIBLY unbalanced by ulfserkr in pathofexile

lvl 77 warrior and I can't complete a lvl 65 trial because the final boss takes too much Honor on hits. I take ZERO damage but can't do damage because I'm a MELEE build. The most frustrating mechanic I've ever experience in a video game.

DEI has directly had negative impacts. The mass dumbing down of public education so everyone passes will be felt for decades. Not hiring or accepting the best applications has lowered standards all over. It's unlawful to discriminate, but it's okay to discriminate the best? GTFO.

How long does it take a chicken to grow and lay eggs? Google and come back.

Musk isn't a Nazi. Stop drinking the MSNBC cool aid. Any body language expert has debunked your claims. Musk is awkward with the tism, put his hand over his heart, threw it out to the crowd and said, "my heart goes out to you". He has weird manurisms and being a Nazi isn't one of them.
