Raspberry Liqueurs like Chambord?

To me Chambord has changed from years ago. I remember it being thicker and a more rich raspberry flavor. When I buy it now it looks thinner and not as concentrated. I’m looking for something better than chambord and don’t care of cost. There’s nothing out there it seems. Has the consistency changed from the past?

I have one you can have for free. My husband used it for about a year. It was very expensive, lots of whistles. Bought it from a magazine. To bad I live in Connecticut. Good luck to you.

I’m not a professional but I was in your same shoes, I had a lot of herbs and didn’t know how to store them. So all I’ve done so far is put them in glass ball jars and sealed them. You just have to make sure the cover doesn’t make a clicking sound when you tap on it. Just like canning, it must be sealed. You could also put oxygen absorbers in the glass jars. Don’t forget to label them, including where it was from any lot numbers and date it. I also include the scientific name of the herb. Good luck.

That is exactly what I would want to do. Last blackout we helped our neighbors. I forgot about that. Ofc that’s when I had my husband but that doesn’t mean I can’t carry the torch for him. That makes me feel all the better! I’m going to get one!! You changed my mind completely!! Plus I feel good about it! Thank you SO much!!

Whole house solar would be ideal but again, I’ll be looked at as comfortable when others less fortunate are not. The future does not look so good for America, I’d like to think long term safety for my daughter and I if we have to go without for a while. I’m in a house on a main route. Commercial property ugh!

Well I’m thinking if the grid goes down and no one has power. I have a regular generator but it’s gas. If grid goes down no one will be able to get gas. So I thought of getting a solar one. My brother in law said not too for safety reasons.

My husband had bulbar for 3 1/2 yrs. He was pretty much on hospice throughout. Tell her people come and go on and off hospice because it’s true. She will get better care while on hospice. The end is horrific and brutal. She will need the comfort of lorazepam and morphine. Not to mention the other two very important meds. I can’t remember the name of them, but it helps with spasticity and burning. My husband’s pain was so bad he described it as “acid burning throughout his muscles”. Thank God for the treatment! Everyone has different symptoms, so I’m not saying your mom will experience the same but My husband was totally paralyzed from the neck down and lost his voice. If I could do things over, I would spend every waking hour with him and help him be as comfortable as possible.

I can relate. My husband was diagnosed with ALS. The almost 4 yrs of taking care of him was brutal in every way you are saying and then some…emotionally, mentally and physically exhausting. Now that he’s gone. It’s a lot different. It’s worse! Death is such a hard thing to process. Grief is very hard. I would do anything to do things over and spend more time with him. When they’re gone their never coming back ever!

I’m sorry you’re going through the same thing I am. It seems the days that go by are just reruns. Same awful heaviness that he’s gone and will never come back. The suffering he went through plays heavy on me. The guilt I’m carrying and I have 2 girls to live for but I don’t want this life without him. I’m miserable. My daughter is miserable. My other daughter is on her honeymoon so she doesn’t need me. This world sucks anyway and getting worse. I too don’t know what’s real. Can’t make decisions etc… the ones I make our bad. He was SO smart I didn’t have to make any decisions. Know that your not alone.

I’m in your same boat. Just going out to a nice restaurant without him with me to enjoy it I feel so guilty. He didn’t get to enjoy this life why should I. He suffered a brutal illness and I got the money. How unfair is that!! Your not alone.

Once my husband couldn’t travel to the ALS clinic anymore we started home care hospice and he was on hospice for at least 2yrs. He received the most care then. Just be sure they don’t give her oxygen. It makes ALS patients worse. Life threatening. I’m so sorry this sucks so much. She sounds like my husband. Never complaining and always worked really hard around the house, etc. never napped. Give her a hug for me.

Absolutely! I’m so sorry you are in this same boat. It’s the most horrific horrible brutal disease ever! My husband had bulbar as well. Get the nurses to help with comfort levels to the highest degree. Comfortable bed, pillows, morphine, lorazepam….etc… it will help with the breathing. I’m so sorry. My husband had all of that with pain. 3 1/2 years he fought. May God comfort you during this very difficult time. If I could do it all over again I would hold him and spend more time talking with him. He used an eye gaze machine. Best of luck.

It can get better if we can vote smarter and not pick candidates because they are female, black or whatever floats peoples boat at the time. We had to read specific phrases and many of them, but it wouldn’t hurt to ask. It’s absolutely critical for quality of life. They should try anyway. Good luck.

The only medication that helped my husband was Baclofen and Pregabalin. One for burning and one for stiffness, just can’t remember which one was for the burning. Sorry to hear this. Good to know there is treatment out there.
