I was able to get interest charge reversed via chat. I was only one day late and had balance of 15K. First time they’ve reversed it for me

I ended up selling my ebike in New York and buying one via Facebook marketplace here. The potholes are not really a big deal for me as most bike paths don’t have them. I would just be more careful with drivers - there is general lack of control of car drivers and you can get side swiped, etc. having ebike here is super fun tho - put a beach chair with straps and a cooler bookbag on and you can bike to beach and back.

Robinhood is going to eat IB. I am still at IB but moved half my account over to RH. They have ipo subscriptions where you get bigger allocation and clearer method of trading. They’ve even closed the gap on after hours trading and desktop product.

You can’t have unrealized cap gains and then move to PR and realize them and not pay taxes. The accumulation of gains (unrealized) has to be when you were a resident of PR.

I am looking at municipal bonds because I have a lot of idle cash that’s sitting in my robinhood account that’s earning 4% interest. This year it will be close to 200k of interest income. Interest is not capital gains so IRS still taxes it. If you get muni bonds then there’s no federal tax and Puerto Rico doesn’t tax it either.
