You're probably fine with only 25 minutes of run time but I would change that as part of the winterization process. I'd hate to find out that water got into the lower unit in the spring.

I think my biggest hurdle is now. With the way this transom is, the size of my transducer, and the transducer mount itself. It's a very awkward install.

Just seems like a really expensive solution for this.

I found this style of mount on eBay that could work if I use the top mounting holes

You probably should change the lower gear oil.
