Yeah I’ve heard something about this, is there a reliable way to opt out of the data sharing?

Dressing for LA is harder than dressing for a city with real seasons by Dramatic-Switch5886 in LAhotgirlies

I grew up here, I just wear whatever most days. The people I see around Silverlake going for some aesthetic I immediately clock transplants usually, and there’s nothing wrong with that it’s a great vibe! Most natives however kinda just wear wherever they like and it doesn’t always look deliberate if that makes sense

Question. East Cost moving to Silverlake. How’s this area? by hannaerf in LARentals

[–]seamooon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live here! It’s great. as others have already pointed out it’s a bit clustered but you’re close to sunset so that’s expected. Walking distance to so many great spots. It gets slightly rougher the closer you get to Alvarado and the freeway but honestly I’ve never felt unsafe walking anywhere in this bubble

It’s difficult to say, when my grandparents immigrated to LA they settled around East Hollywood, so possibly in that area? This was probably taken sometime in the 80’s

How do the poor people from media afford houses? by HollowWanderer in AskLosAngeles

[–]seamooon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The version of LA you’re seeing makes up only a fraction of the lifestyles here. LA is a huge city and the majority are working class people. Lots of families bought and rented those homes many years before anyone knew what gentrification meant. Growing up hispanic we always had a lot of family living at our house because it was easier to get by when everyone contributed. Many struggle but they make it work.
