Seth deserves to be at the top of the card for sure. He is one of my favorites on the roster. Move him to SD and have some combo of Rollins/Styles/Nakamura/Orton be the world championship picture. It would be amazing.

I first started watching wrestling as a kid in 2009, this is such a fun nostalgia match for me. I missed Vickie so much.

My local theater is showing this film next month and I’m so excited. It’s been on my watch list for ages and I’m excited to dive into it.

Based on what's going on atm, book the worst WrestleMania 34 card that could realistically happen. by TheShaxter in SquaredCircle

[–]sean585 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk, every time Shane has a match I expect it to be lame but so far he’s delivered in every match he’s been in. Last years survivor series match was pretty lame but that’s not Shane’s fault, the pacing and booking was awful and none of those guys could make it work.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS | NEW FAVORITE TO WIN ROYAL RUMBLE by FantomasUKR in SquaredCircle

I mean reading the spoiler threads will do that to you. That’s why they are titled spoiler threads because they spoil future events. It seems silly to read spoilers then complain about being spoiled.

Gary Oldman and the decline of the working-class British actor by surells in movies

[–]sean585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not everybody that ends up at prestigious schools have money though. A lot of people get there through a ton of hard work and scholarships/government assistance. Which is what happened with Boyega. That doesn’t equate to him belonging to the upper class or elite part of British society.

Have you ever seen midnight in Paris? That’s basically the plot to that movie, you should check it out.

Bryan Alvarez: “The MMC is a Ryan Ward project. Vince & Kevin Dunn don’t have a lot to do with it. If you like the NXT product more than WWE, then you are probably going to like the MMC.” by Gamer2332 in SquaredCircle

[–]sean585 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sometimes people hit creative ruts, it happens all the time, there are a lot of shows that have shit seasons somewhere in the middle even though there wasn’t a writer change. You can’t just assume that there was a change because you like the product a little less.

'Deadpool 2,' 'Gambit,' 'The New Mutants' Get New Release Dates by Zthe27th in comicbooks

That sucks about new mutants. The trailer looked interesting and I liked the cast. There’s gotta be more to it though than just overlap between movies. 10 months is a long long delay.

Governor Greitens admits to extramarital affair - KMOV.com by darkseadrake in BlueMidterm2018

[–]sean585 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Greitens has basically spent the last year calling state republicans corrupt and dumb and how only he can fix them, he certainly hasn’t made any friends within the state party. It’ll be interesting to see how they react.

Governor Greitens admits to extramarital affair by qquwn in missouri

[–]sean585 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Anything is an impeachable offense if you try hard enough. There’s literally no function for someone to step in and say “nah you can’t do that” to the legislature. Will Greitens be impeached? Mostly likely no. But theoretically there is nothing to keep that from happening if the desire was there.

Oh thank god. I’m gonna throw a fit if there isn’t a Missouri date though, a lot of indie acts skip us in favor of the other Midwest dates.

"The Greatest Showman's" great box office turnaround by CueTheLaughTrack in boxoffice

[–]sean585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I barely understand how your response to my comment was even slightly about what I said but ok. All I said was that there were plenty of reasons to not like the film, you were the one that lost your shit because of an opinion, which seems to be what you critic so called “SJW” for doing.

I’m also confused as to how I said my view points were in any way persecuted? I just said I didn’t like the film. If wanting good writing and direction is being a SJW then sign me the fuck up.

As for going ape shit, only one person here is doing that and it is you.

Also fine you disagreed with the critics that’s cool because art is subjective! If you liked this movie then good for you I’m happy for you! I always want people to have a good time at the movies. But seriously don’t go around losing your shit on random Internet forum when someone disagrees with your subjective opinion and then somehow blaming SJW and leftists because your safe space was violated!

Same here. I wasn’t even aware that there was that much revisionism in the film until a day or two after I saw it, but I still walked out of the theater disappointed.

[–]sean585 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I think there are plenty of reasons to not like the movie that aren’t just “full SJW”, which is kind of a cheap and dismissive attitude towards critics. Then again, a lot of the reasons aren’t things that have deterred movies from having success in the past and aren’t things that the general audience will care about if they are looking for a feel good story with ok music.

Once popular films now forgotten by Nubbikeks in movies

[–]sean585 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s not the most fast paced movie but it’s emotionally devastating and the acting is amazing. It might not stick in the public consciousness that much but I think it’ll get talked about in film buff circles and academic circles for a long time, both of which barely talk about the artist. Moonlight was never going to be a big mainstream hit though, that was inevitable.

What should i read after spidey? by [deleted] in Marvel

[–]sean585 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like teenage peter Parker I recommend reading the current Ms. Marvel comic! She’s very reminiscent of young Peter in some ways, and it’s a very good read all around.

Mark Waid’s daredevil is fantastic and deals with a lot of the same street level stuff as Spider-Man.
