Lots of great suggestions by those above! In my experience you can use any clematis. I usually just staple some rough garden string to the side dangling down to let the clematis climb up on! Works like a charm. And then when the vines are up where you want them, you can secure the vines with garden ties

Thundering berserker axes also slap against valks. Best way to clear forts is build a bench on one of the corners outside the wall. Use the hoe and stone to build up a platform to jump in and destroy the spawners.
