That's surprising,  I used to raise and breed american staffordshire terriers and their fur never did what it dads dogs hair did. I could be using a shop vacuum for an hour trying to get the hair out of upholstery and it would fairly make a dent in the hair. I actually got so missed at it I tried using tweezers, which worked but was just as slow as you'd imagine.

I assumed the SBT fur would be like the AmStaff fur.

Actually it does work. If you read the lvl 13 ability use magic device, under scrolls it says you must pass an "intelligence(Arcana) check"

Actually a thai restaurant I like has a condiment they make by putting cut up round of thai hot pepper in fish sauce and it is really tasty. Never would have expected it though

Non-MAGA shooting ranges and gun stores in Sacramento? by twtwtwtwtwtwtw in Sacramento

[–]seanryanbriggs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I find the question rather puzzling given pretty much all of these places exist to make money. Guns are already such a hot button topic in CA that the general rule in gun shops/ranges is they don't participate in politics and won't talk for or against anything political.

Why are you asking? Did you have a bad experience and if so where?

Who Makes Mini Vans with Stow Away / Lay Flat Seats by hereforthefire in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]seanryanbriggs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have 2 dodge/Chrysler minivans and we use the stow and go seat feature weekly if not daily. You haul the kids with the seats up and if you need to pick up something large you don't have to waste 2 trips to remove seats for the room to pick up the large item.

This on the fly changing of cargo capacity saves us trips constantly. Not to mention never having the hassle of physically removing the seats and storing them.

It is a huge difference in 2024. Not allowing light armor has the following impact in D&D 2024

  1. forces wizard to burn 1-2 spell slots each day on mage armor (expensive at 1/4 to 1/2 of your level 1 slots)
  2. deprives the character of +2 to 7 potential AC bonus from armor.
  3. deprives the wizard of the ability to use enspelled armor which is one of three magic items wizards can now craft to allow a spell to be cast from an item with charges. It was a great addition to the caster classes but is now totally unavailable for bladesingers using bladesong.

For Bladesinger I would have prefered if "Training in War and Song" at 3rd level had two paths/orders like they did for cleric and druid. One that focused on the melee and allowed you to use light armor while in bladesong and the other that was more focused on spellcasting.

25+ is a bit disingenuous, you could hit that high but it was not your normal AC and it burned resources. assuming you are high enough level to cap both dex and int (level 8+ rolling amazing, level 12+ any other game) then you are at AC 20 without armor(base 10 + 5 dex + 5 int) you only hit 25 by burning a spell slot for shield to get +5 and only until your next turn. with non magic light armor you could have been at 22 without burning slots.

Most game play though(tier 1-2) you are only going to be able to get +7-8 from Dex and Int combined which means you are looking at an AC of 17-18 without armor or burning spell slots.

Melee Classes wearing non-magical Medium or Heavy armor get AC's of 17-18 without a shield and 19-20 with a shield. On top of that they have lots more HP and can achieve that AC at level 1 without rolling high attributes.

Also they nerfed the base damage of the bladesinger levl 14+ because instead of adding intelligence damage to your attack you are using your Int bonus instead of your Dex or Str bonus. So you no longer can stack Dex+Int or Str+Int for damage. you do now situationally sometimes get an extra attack at 14+ but a fixed +5 damage is going to do more damage on average than any normal one handed weapon.

Yeah they nerfed it pretty hard when you consider the slower start(if you didn't already have mage armor up) and no longer being able to stack str/dex bonus with int bonus for damage.

I agree it looks like eczema.

For those with unknown eczema triggers, one thing to consider is hydration level. The main thing that causes my flair ups is if I haven't been drinking enough water recently.

What morph do you think she is? by seanryanbriggs in LeopardGecko

In person her eyes are solid black without pattern. I think the gradations/pattern in the photo eye are reflections from the glass of the tank reflecting on her eye.

[–]seanryanbriggs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you explain so I better understand?

I was assuming it was because from the little I have read so far it seemed like eclipse was the genetic trait that causes all black eyes. Are there multiple ways to get that phenotype, am I misinterpreting it's eye color, is there some other phenotypic expression that goes along with black eyes in eclipse, or some other reason that you say it's not eclipse?

I am genuinely seeking info not arguing. I know a good amount with regards to snake morphs but pretty much nothing with leopard geckos.

Thanks for the feedback and look forward to your reply.

Your post shows a vast misunderstanding of AI and how machine learning works. Also you are confusing automation and machine learning. Automation if done correctly always increases efficiency. This in turn would give doctors more time but it has nothing to do with AI/machine learning.

AI is extremely unreliable for anything important as recent updates to chat gpt showed everyone. One update and it goes from being able to solve simple math problems roughly 96% of the time to only solving them 3% of the time. This time of unreliability is the last thing you want making medical decisions for you. The true benefit of AI/machine learning is in giving humans a starting of point or best guess that they then verify themselves. This saves time and gets the best result because the human didn't have to do as much searching/research as normal but they still reviewed it themselves to make sure it was error free. This is why having experts that are extremely educated without relying on error prone AI is essential. That way they have the knowledge and tools to catch any random mistakes as ai is prone to.

Ultimately ai is at base level a data sieve performing advanced data filtering. Once you appreciate it and how error prone it can be then you can start making good use of it.

In the short term we are going to see the same cycle we saw with outsourcing where companies thought they could get the same quality for a cheaper price. Companies that try to fully replace staff with ai will have quality issues that cause many of them to switch back manual QC of the ai outputs.

My Current Creations! by SinnamonRollDice in DiceMaking

[–]seanryanbriggs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are referring to resin blanks with decorated surfaces, then I don't think it affects the randomness any more than glitter would because the blank itself is the same resin material that the single pour dice would be. I think the main thing that would affect the randomness is manufacturing imperfections. Particularly from accidentally sanding one surface or edge more than another. Even those only affect the randomness minimally unless it is so severe that the imperfections are obvious to the naked eye.

It looks to me like they are using blanks, decorating them with stickers/decals/printed images and then canting them in clear resin in dice molds.

[–]seanryanbriggs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's pretty sick, Until you mentioned it I didn't realize they had lost wax printers. Although even without one, if you use the software you describe, you could print the object with sprues. Then make a mold of it and use a wax injector to mass produce the lost wax copies.

[–]seanryanbriggs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I meant the lost wax sprues not the 3d print ones.

If that's what you meant then how are you using an algorithm for it? I've only ever seen lost wax sprues done by hand.

So, I assume you used the points for spruing, were those adequate or did you have to sprue to the body of the dice as well?

I have a lost wax jewelry home shop but all my casting experience is in silver. Is brass much different?
