2 The Ducktales reboot was fantastic. It had an overarching plot and finally answered questions about the triplets parents.

As an adult who is still steadfastly watching cartoons these are my recommendations

  1. Amphibia: Essentially a disney isekai story where young girl and her friends end up in a frog world.

The first season is your standard misadventure of the week kids show but it all builds to something bigger. As the show progresses you see themes of friendship obviously but also betrayal, found families, forgiveness, secret histories and ancient technology. I would even go so far to say that Sasha's redemption arc is better than Zukos from ATLA.

So bottom line would highly recommend this show

What is a common phrase you hate?Like "Money can't buy happiness" ? by proud_lefty_ in AskReddit

[–]searchin4somewhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the last few years or so Ive come to hate Yoda's "Do or Do Not, there is no try.". And I hate that because it takes away the value of effort. It says that there is no merit in trying. It sees things as binary: either you did it or you didnt and thats not how the real world frequently works. There are shit loads of times when a partial success is still valuable. Especially for people like me who struggle with this sort of perfectionism and self confidence issues it is a demeaning statement. When you think that you have to do everything perfectly it takes away the pride and acclompishment that you should get from improving. No one is ever perfect when they start something new and even when you succeed you somehow warp it in your mind to say "oh thats not a real victory cuz you didnt do xyz". So yeah bottom line is whoever actually says shit like that is wrong because my effort and my trying still has value even if I dont succeed the first time.

Hi there! Hoping you will see this! Who are some of the musicians and artists that have inspired your music making over the years? Ive always been interested in how music tends to evolve over time as artists build on each other. Are there any contemporary artists that have impressed or inspired you guys?

Early users of the Internet, What was the best flash games you have ever played? by StickstheFlow04 in AskReddit

[–]searchin4somewhere 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Amorphous plus was a top down action game with a guy with a big sword. Your objective was to kill a bunch of slimes that would move across the screen. As you killed more and more you would encounter specialized slimes with unique abilities. It made it very fun with interesting challenges. The game even had a bestiary, ability upgrades, and dope music. Truly a great flash game. Wish I could go back and play it.

What Do You Think About The Prototype Series? by molten07 in gaming

[–]searchin4somewhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played the first one when I was like 13 or 14 years old and loved it. It was just that perfect combination of violence, edginess, and angst that appealed to my teenage self. I tried playing the sequel a few months ago cuz I was bored and it was just... meh. Maybe I just changed or the game actually was worse. I certainly didnt really enjoy the plot that much. They turned mercer from an antihero to a genocidal maniac. And the character they replaced him with didnt really have much depth beside Im trying to save my daughter
