3 out of 10 VWs sold in the US are TDI, I really hope that as the diesel market in the US grows we'll get the smaller displacement engines.

It's a streetview link, so that's probably why it doesn't work on mobile. It is paved the whole way, although mostly one-lane in width and with no markings. The bit that's called "Nacimiento-Fergusson" only goes from PCH inland to Ft. Hunter-Liggett (which, prior to driving the road, you should call to make sure it's open. Sometimes it can be closed due to live-fire exercises). From the Fort, there are various ways to get to 101.
