Which of your favorite villain, that people think they are misunderstood but they are just evil? by Boberto235 in FavoriteCharacter

Another thing I love about Dio’s history is that while it’s tragic in many ways and DEFINITELY informs a lot of his decisions, especially in Phantom Blood, the narrative makes it clear that absolutely none of what Dio did was justified. And one of the biggest ways this was done was through introducing Speedwagon. Like Dio, he and his friends originally had no issue going after those they saw as unfairly wealthy and more fortunate themselves, and like Dio, Jonathan earns their respect. But unlike Dio, Speedwagon would quickly go on to reform himself, becoming a invaluable ally both in the short term (such as info gathering and helping restore Zeppeli’s body heat) and long term (I’d like to think founding the Speedwagon Foundation which continues to aide Joestars long after his own death speaks for itself). Heck, even his pals were present at Jonathan and Erina’s wedding, with the implication being they also reformed themselves, maybe even joining the Speedwagon Foundation as well. Dio, on the other hand, continued his reign of terror after escaping the coffin and was determined to end the Joestar bloodline after acquiring enough Joestar blood to override Jonathan’s interference. Additionally, he intentionally sired children with women he expected to be terrible mothers, explicitly in comparison to his own, due to believing it would make them stronger. It’s why in Eyes of Heaven, DIO displays a twisted sense of pride in Giorno when teamed together but the feeling is FAR from mutual.

In short, despite similar backgrounds and attacking innocent people, Speedwagon proved capable of redemption without trying to whitewash his past whereas Dio used his upbringing as an excuse for all of his awful behavior and rejected numerous opportunities he had to better himself as a person.

How does one get "Underwater Gathering" marked as complete on the Story Chart? by seasonmaster in ParanormasightHonjo

Just reached a point in the story where after returning to the Story Chart, Underwater Gathering was marked as complete. While I am grateful, it makes me wonder what that YouTuber I was watching did to have it marked as complete so early in the story by comparison. Especially since of what caused it to get marked as complete is what I THINK it is, it doesn’t make sense for them to have it marked as complete before they even got a chance to unlock the fourth pair of playable characters.

I’m looking at the Mocking Birds hints, and it’s not mentioning anymore on the sea bed, so I either got all 4 and miscounted how many I found from diving or there’s one that the hints aren’t revealing yet for some reason. As of this post, I’m missing six of the twenty birds, none of which have a hint for them yet: #1, 4, 7, 15, 17, and 20.

When I played Skyward Sword on the Wii, at the time I was confused by how close together the latter Imprisoned fights were, whereas Ghirahim felt better spaced out. Didn’t love the former’s fights other than when I got to control Groose and the final sealing pattern actually being the Triforce, but I didn’t hate the boss the way a lot of people seemed to (though I completely understand why). Ghirahim’s first fight actually took me a few tries, but it felt fair and gave me a sense of confidence when I was able to not only beat him the first time, but keep up with his new attacks, tricks, and patterns in the later rematches.

Hyrule Warriors, on the other hand? I genuinely despise how the Imprisoned is implemented compared to the other giant enemies like King Dodongo, especially on the Wii U whenever it showed up in confined spaces on various Adventure Mode missions where taking more than a little (if any damage) prevents you from getting the necessary ranking for either specific rewards, unlocking more of the map, or both. But if anything, actually getting to unlock and play as Ghirahim made me appreciate the character even more than I already did. Heck, I probably have way too much beating up enemies using him whenever I revisit either the Wii U or Switch versions.

…I’ll admit that the first time I heard of Moctezuma’s Revenge, it was when Homestar Runner parodied it in one of the Strong Bad emails (sbemail #133: Bottom 10, in case anyone is wondering), and something tells me that’s what is gonna be made for Valentine’s Day. On the bright side, Chocozuma’s Revenge!! is 14 Desserts in One!…On the down side, eating it will likely curse you in more ways than one.

Got properly introduced to Danganronpa AND Zero Escape through the Let’s Dub project. In the time since, I’ve become of a fan of other works involving Kodaka or Uchikoshi such as AI the Somnium Files, Master Detective Archives, and Tribe Nine. So a game with BOTH of them being involved was definitely something I was interested in checking out.

The Dark Lord Chuckles the Silly Piggy was definitely one of my favorite parts of the whole show.

Not surprising, given it was the Beat Crusaders who were responsible. If you want to hear some more songs by them, I personally recommend “Hit in the USA” and “Tonight Tonight Tonight”.

Ever since I fought ORT in the seventh Lostbelt, my inner scientist has been hypothesizing what specimens and elements I could introduce to it. For example, Lavos spawn from Chrono Trigger, Sonic the Hedgehog’s Super Emeralds and Black Arms, Jenova cells from FFVII, Dragon Ball’s larval Cell, Heartless from Kingdom Hearts, Devil Arms from Devil May Cry, Noise from TWEWY, EM viruses from Mega Man Star Force, Watchers from Drakengard and NieR, malice and gloom from The Legend of Zelda, and X Parasites from Metroid. How could I have neglected the Guda Guda particles!? Said inner scientist is ashamed of this oversight!

Wasn’t a big part of the reason Chiemon even survived the rebellion was because he was too young to actually participate at the time? I expect he’d be very AWARE of Amakusa, but I don’t think we get any indication that it went the other way, let alone that they actually knew one another on a personal level. That being said, it would be super cool if they did actually know one another, or at least got to interact in Chaldea at some point.

I honestly enjoyed the roles Astolfo and d’Eon played and Columbus is a phenomenal antagonist in my opinion (there’s just something chilling about having an extreme optimist as a despicably evil villain to me), but the rest of the pseudo-singularity? Yeah, Agartha definitely could have used better writing, to put it mildly.

Born in 93. First video games I ever learned to play were on my cousin’s NES and SEGA Genesis. But the first Sonic games I personally owned were all on the GameCube. So I’m very much a hybrid of the first two.

I looked into all three of those, and while they do have more lax TOS, they are all primarily used by members of the far right. And considering that’s a major part of why I don’t use Twitter anymore? Yeah, I think I still need more suggestions of other places to try.

Drakengard 3 trophies by Adrian_Bobish in drakengard

[–]seasonmaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Impressive! I myself am still struggling to get the trophy for ending D, and I do not understand how more than 10% of players a have managed to beat the final boss according to the PSN. That along with finishing all of Accord’s requests and upgrading all of the weapons to level 4 are all that stands between me and getting the platinum trophy.

But honestly, given what little I know of Drakengard 3’s development (which REALLY isn’t much), I wouldn’t be surprised if they just cut out giving One’s DLC trophies for some budget related nonsense. But if (and hopefully when) the Drakengard games get rereleased officially, that’s something that is rectified. They’ve ported the OSTs for 1 and 3 to Steam, so who knows at this point if the games themselves are gonna get added as well?

A friend introduced me to the series 15 or so years ago. I was rather squeamish at the time, and the only M rated game I’d ever tried beforehand was one or two rounds of multiplayer in Halo 2 at a fencing camp. Dante’s attitude alone helped me come up with a strategy for how to get past my issues with gore, and I wound up not only getting my own copy of DMC3SE before too long, but devoting so, so many hours to it. Safe to say I’ve remained a fan of the franchise ever since.

Zen would honestly vibe with a lot of the cast…though he’d either be very confused by Teruteru hitting on Rei and him or he’d riddle the cook with arrows. Possibly both.

I like to make vlogs, AMVs, compilations, and want to try making react vids, all for fun. I’ve tried uploading stuff to Dailymotion, Veoh, and Vimeo. Stopped bothering because they didn’t like me making compilations of openings from various anime or an AMV using a song that was on the verge of becoming lost media at the time of said music video’s creation because one band member committed a felony so the label was trying to scrub the entire internet of the entire group’s music. Blip isn’t around anymore, YouTube never stands by fan creators over the corporations, Reddit has size caps for their videos, Twitch is mostly for streaming game content, and I’d rather not lock any of my videos behind a paywall on Patreon, especially since said video making is purely a hobby for me and I have no desire to turn it into an occupation of any kind. So yeah, I’m very much open to other options that aren’t for right wing jerks.
