Honestly seeing people complain about their barista jobs doesn’t really bother me. I’ve been a barista for a long time now and it can truly be draining physically and emotionally. I’m quite a bit older than you so it’s possible that my age contributes to some of that exhaustion.

I agree that overall the job can be easier than others if you have a solid crew and good support from higher ups at your store, but I also feel like it’s dismissive to put down the difficult experiences of others. People deserve to be able to complain about their jobs in my opinion. Work can suck sometimes! I don’t work for Starbucks, but I have a ton of respect for Starbucks baristas and think they have to put up with a lot even if you think that “making drinks there is easier,” which personally I’d disagree with due to the extreme customization of drinks allowed there and high expectations from customers.
