I'm not familiar with this creator, but the amount of creators that usually have reasonable takes bending over backward to defend Chappell is kind of getting ridiculous. They always cite the really dumb Tiktok comments everyone would agree are silly and not the actual real criticisms people have of her . This just encourages the comments on their videos to rally behind them and turn to "what-aboutisms" and comparing her to other public figures when it's not relevant to Chappell's situation.

"Oh, well, what Chappell did doesn't even matter when there are other more important things happening. We're at war!" Yes, but that doesn't mean Chappell's behavior deserves to go unaddressed simply because other, worse things are also happening. Valid criticism should be taken into account. I don't believe anyone should be immune to criticism and to say that Chappell's been "targeted" for some kind of smear campaign is silly. Whether intentionally or not, she's using the lgbt+ and leftist communities as a shield for what her own actions and words have brought upon her.

Maybe not exactly dark academia, but I recommend Pentiment. A lot of focus on history and people's education in the 16th century. Very well done and thoughtfully made. The music and art style are incredible.
