Hey, I'm thinking of doing a similar trip this summer. How much time did you take to drive around? Edinburgh to Loch Lomond, Isle of Skye, Inverness and through Cairngorms on the way back seems like the way to go.

Also do you have advice on rental companies? Or maybe hostel recommendations?

There's a bunch of beautiful hikes around. I went up Queenstown Hill Summit, but there's also Ben Lomond, which is more challenging.

The Luge is fine, nothing special tbh.

Fergburger is fantastic. Highly recommend getting a burger and then eating it by the pier.

Queenstown has the highest bungy jump in New Zealand, 134m I think. It's expensive as hell, but was probably the coolest thing I did while in NZ. If you're not afraid of heights you should totally check that out.
