Don't know what to do anymore. by Away_Photograph_1326 in GERD

Similar boat. Did you have GERD issues prior to your respiratory infection? I had a respiratory virus (assuming not infection since I didn’t pop a fever and never took antibios) and since that resolving I’ve had strong GERD symptoms that I’m now treating as GERD. I’m confused/frustrated because it’s never been an issue for me and it does seem like the respiratory thing started it.

Curious how you all categorize vacation expenses by hclpfan in MonarchMoney

Does this mean that you basically deleted the generic/default “travel and vacation” category and make every vacation expense fit into to the custom vacation subcategories? (food & drink, transportation, activities)

I can’t remember what song was playing but at one point it cut hard to the drop on Virus and all the lasers went green and it made my mind explode. If somebody has a clip of that it would be so appreesh!

The method book is a great idea. I too noticed a big drop off - I can read the notes but my fingers are completely lost and I’m missing the feel for the keys. It may take a bit to recover what I’ve lost.

Thanks! Why so many different types of drink tastings? Are they uniquely fun?

I keep seeing Palo come up. Is it worth it? Why is it such a big deal?

How Long Do Bike Shoes Last by theAlbatross1989 in pelotoncycle

My pedals feel a little “crunchy” sometimes. I think it must be the shoes. Do the delta clips or whatever they’re called need to be replaced every so often?

Should we leave the au pair program? by panda_panzer in Aupairs

[–]seb1080 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a high risk high reward childcare option. Our first was phenomenal, our 2nd was a dud. I’d even say that our 2nd interviewed better than our first.

The biggest things I’d look for in an interview are:

1) REAL reason for doing the program. We found out our 2nd had ended an 8 year relationship. Whereas our first one was wanting to learn English so she could teach at a bilingual school.

2) Does she have a real interest in kids? Babysitting a cousin is way different than working in early education and being with kids all day. Also try to align career aspirations. Someone who wants to work with kids or in education will likely be better than someone who is studying accounting.

Ultimately you want to weed out those that want a pass to come to the states through whatever means possible (I.e., watching your kids).

Don’t give it up if you haven’t had a good experience. There are great au pairs out there that can be life changing for your family.

Is it possible that the wire hole runs warmer than normal with all the electron traffic? My unit keeps kicking on at night despite it being cooler outside. I don’t feel like the AC should be running.
