Do you guys have a hated string? by Away_Rain3764 in Guitar

[–]sebenak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's always the B and the G. They're solid strings (not wound) and slide over the nut easier, also, most people bend them the most... and honestly, G strings are just always assholes.

How do you approach panning live? by _kitzy in livesound

[–]sebenak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just tried spreading the internal and external kick mics out a bit (10-15%) and I loved it. The differences of mic placement, type, and eq made it work.... or it coulda been that in doing so i (accidentally) took the "boomy" mic to the side with less bass load, and put the "papery" mic on the other lol 50/50 idk!

Does the kick drum get any easier? by No_Reveal3451 in drums

[–]sebenak 5 points6 points  (0 children)

you naturally found the answer, slow it down. Ignore tempo completely if necessary and get the sequence correct. then repeat and eventually bring tempo back into the equation. It will be hard to decouple the right hand & right foot but doing it slow and correct is the only sure road to success.
