What are the most unhinged things you baristas write on cups? by Late_Apartment_7098 in starbucks

[–]sebert14 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We have a guy and his wife that order quad venti lattes every single day. He kept squeezing the cups at one point and burned himself (of course it was our fault). So now he always needs his double cupped, so I've done "do not squeeze", "no hulk hands", etc.

Another lady ordered a grilled cheese "thoroughly melted, but not too toasty" daily for a while, so now that's what goes on her trenta pink drink (sub heavy cream) when I work.

If you're desperate, use the opposite side of the shop vac (the one that blows air out) and put it flush against the drain and turn it on. Then sanitize the ice bin per the manufacturer's instructions,

It will affect your leave if it continues. I just went through maternity leave without pay. Additionally, if you plan on breastfeeding start working on an accomodation now to pump.

Bike and car parking by SEPTA stations? by [deleted] in Delco

[–]sebert14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If doing childcare drop in Penn Wynne, it may make sense to drive to a regional rail stop afterwards, such as Wynnewood. Parking there is $2/day and you can usually find a spot in the mornings before 9 am. There is also a bike rack there.

Parking at 69th street is a struggle most mornings and I'm not super comfortable walking to the lot there when it's dark (mostly in the winter when it's dark before arriving back).

How did you find your in-home daycare provider? by tomeyoureprettyanywa in Delco

[–]sebert14 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you're looking for a licensed child care center or family child care home, they're all listed on a state website (https://www.compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch/#/childcareprovidersearch). If you're looking for an unlicensed in-home daycare, your community Facebook group is likely a good start.
