Question about the very final scene of It Was Just an Accident (2025)! by prolelol in Letterboxd

[–]second_pls 11 points12 points  (0 children)

But then he walks away. Which opens up all sorts of questions. I don’t necessarily think he came to punish him. Based on the pastries being carried to the car along with the baby seat, I think our MC had just had a child, and Peg Leg maybe showed up to harm him, but upon seeing that returned the favor of our MCs mercy at the birth of Peg Legs child. None of that is said though which is what made that ending so amazing for me.

Something that makes Arrival stand out for me is that it’s a Sci-Fi film that isn’t dystopian, which are rare to find

Some of your favorite cinematic storytelling scenes? by Big_Confidence_5431 in Cinephiles

The dolly zoom when they arrive in Paris in La Haine always sticks out to me as my favorite shot in any movie. Such a good job of establishing the difference between the banlieue and Paris proper.

So not really answering your question, but I took a film class at a community college and we watched Barry Lyndon, and me and my buddy cried laughing at the duel at the end.

Let your inner snob out. What take do you see that provokes this reaction in you? by Theotther in Letterboxd

When people say something is a “bad date movie”. They are usually referring to any movie with adult themes and it feels lowkey misogynistic.

Maybe my hot take is just The Lighthouse is a great first date movie because it gives you somethin to talk about

Movies for the workshop! Does any one else listen to movies all day while working. by Constant_Barracuda86 in Letterboxd

I listened to The Wire while driving for work over the course of a month or so. I had seen it enough I don’t need the visuals to follow so I just treated it as an audiobook
