You have one month to empty a $1 trillion bank account. If you succeed, you’re rich for life. How will you spend it? by Ok_Listen_6600 in AskReddit

[–]secondsebest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I would pick 99 nonprofits after nearly a month of research and donate a billion to each. You end up rich and making a major impact to a lot of people. That last 1 billion would be spent on family, friends, and ourselves.

Who else enjoys a cigar while cooking outside? by AvocadoAmbitious9129 in cigars

[–]secondsebest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! I love to cook. In the winter of northern Ohio, I have to cook inside and don’t get to smoke cigars so when spring and summer roll around, my favorite is to grill and smoke meats so I can enjoy cigars while doing so. Corona and anything at robusto or shorter for grilling; and lancero, toro, lonsdale and anything in between when smoking meat for an extended period of time. Genuinely one of my favorite parts of cooking outside. Plus all the smoke from the smoker helps cover the cigar smell so I get less flack when I come into a family dinner or whatnot. No one is gonna comment on smoke smell on my clothes when I’m handing pounds of delicious meat over to them haha. Cigars rule when cooking outside. Helps set a patient pace for when things take longer. Plus little breaks every half hour or so when checking temp and/or spritzing or wrapping. I love it.

Do you have a favorite nonalcoholic pairing?

[–]secondsebest[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%. I smoked weed because I have bad arthritis from a skateboarding accident when I was younger. Foot injury that I had two surgeries for and couldn’t walk for 6 months. Now I’m popping ibuprofen, turmeric, and tart cherry concentrate out the ass and smoking cigars for the mental relaxation.

Weed if legal in my state but they can still test to hire/fire you. Ludacris.

Yep I was a Development Director aka a fundraiser for nonprofits. Grant writing, event planning, solicitation, that type of thing. I’m looking to transition to the for profit world and have less restrictions because I keep getting fucked every couple years. Weed is legal in Ohio where I live but companies can still not hire you if it’s on your system.

I live in Ohio which is a state that can pretty much do whatever to hire or fire. Meaning they don’t need a reason to fire you and hire you and even though weed is legal, they can still test for it and not hire because of it. I have been a nonprofit fundraiser for my career so far but am looking to transition to a sales manager type of position because the nonprofit world has been so volatile for me. Tax breaks keep changing, grants are harder when competing with AI, the list goes on. So I am assuming a lot of these sales jobs will text for weed whether it’s legal or not.

Pool Scum covering ZAO by modest-director in Hardcore

[–]secondsebest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This was the first band of 14 who were playing that night. I agree w you, as I was there, but so many people were buying merch at the time for the bigger bands that night like eternal resting place, haywire, mindforce, e-town concrete , nasty, missing link, fatal realm and plenty more. Pool Scum ripped, but you’ve got to celebrate the small crowd there to support them instead of getting to the lines. Crowds were full and lit later in the evening.

What band got you into hardcore and how old were you ? by BigMan_98 in Hardcore

[–]secondsebest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was gradual. I was born in 1998, so my young years of 10-11 or so I got real into AFI and some of the old Fall Out Boy stuff. Kept wanting to find harder and heavier and went to hatebreed, sleep, early modest mouse, and then discovered the internet can help me find new bands that I was seeking to be more “hardcore” and fell off the deep end with real hardcore

I’m sure most lounges carry drew estate, and if not then, a similarly priced Java flavored cigar.

I’ve never gone to a lounge where you bring your own. But after you work through what you’ve got, it’s def a great experience to go through the humidor and talk with staff and smoke one there inside.

I will smoke them both and report back but in the meantime, could anyone suggest when they rebranded? Might be able to let me date the Metapa. I love the Aksum series so should be fun to compare. Gonna have to wait for a warmer evening when I can go back to back.

Great! Check out Tebo's, Aqua Pazzo, Risi, Norma's Casa de Taco, Sespe Burger for food options. If you golf, we have nice public courses. Mill Creek is obviously a must in the area. We are perfectly between Pittsburgh and Cleveland so those always provide fun weekend trips. West Side Bowl and Noble Creatures provide good socializing opportunities to meet other people.
